Gen, TW: emotional abuse Non-Abusive Hux Sr. Tries to Parent

In quite a few fics I've read, Hux Sr. could easily win first place for "The Galaxy's Worst Parent." I'd like a fic that focuses on the father/son relationship between him and his only child Brendol Hux II (in this fic, at least...) in which Hux Sr. is not an abusive parent (at least, he tries not to be). Even if he does fail pretty hard at parenting, he doesn't do sexual or physical abuse. Brendol Hux II mostly wants his dad's approval, but his desire for success/power/whatever you choose does also come from himself, not just approval from dad. If emotional abuse does occur, dad should notice that and attempt to fix it (how quickly is up to you). Mostly heartwarming, hurt/comfort if you so choose. Preferably spans from Hux I's childhood through a little bit post TFA, with character development.

++ Hux II being an adorable little child, Hux I has no clue how to deal with it
++++ Hux I worries about dad's approval after Starkiller's failure and Hux II is surprisingly heartwarming

I'd prefer as few OCs as possible, canon genders, and keeping it Star Wars verse. Canon divergence is definitely fine though! Just no Senator AU please.
