You guys this is not the prompt but do you know how much I die at the idea of someone making a live action Last Unicorn and casting Adam Driver as Schmendrick. I don't know who would be right for Molly and they'd need a total luminous unknown like Daisy for Amalthea, but Adam's combination of raw power and absolute awkwardness as Schmendrick CAN U EVEN IMAGINE

Live action version of the animate tree? Yes please. Also, book covers, and movie does not, that Schmendrick's master despaired of him and cursed him to live until he mastered his magic... So yes, there's a matter of pride, but there's the additional pathos of the forever young bumbler trying to become good enough to rejoin the mortal speed of aging/to be able like to live and die.
