Modern AU with Force powers - Any/Any, the First Order is a cult

The First Order is a cult that arose from the ashes of a similar cult in the 70's. Only a select few people and those involved in taking it down know that the 'Force' and mystical powers the First Order babbles about are very real. Former head of the FBI Leia Organa-Solo sends Poe Dameron, a young and upcoming field agent, to go forth and get whatever intel he can from their headquarters. He gets captured, and a young man named Finn who was abducted by the cult as an infant helps get him out - but not before they learn two things: Ben Solo isn't dead, he's the cult's Dark Messiah in training renamed Kylo Ren, and they're trying to locate a Force user named Rey, a homeless girl who keeps eluding their grasp.

Or something like that. Feel free to play fast and loose with the suggestions so long as the Force is an actual thing despite the setting being the modern world.

I could picture Hux as being the kind of "devotee" who doesn't actually believe/follow the cult's dogma, but is good at giving impassioned speeches that convince OTHERS to join, while Phasma keeps the "flock" in line as a masked enforcer...
