Mitaka defects to/is captured by the Resistance. Finn is the one responsible for keeping an eye on him until they're sure he's on their side. Until then, he takes the opportunity to show off all the things he's found that they've been missing out on in the First Order.

Finn is happy to have someone around who understands his experiences, and he loves getting to showcase all the things he loves about the Resistance. Meanwhile, Mitaka is surprised to discover that the stormtrooper he only knows as The Traitor is a pretty great guy.

+ Due to strict rationing, the First Order has a pretty simplistic approach to food (read: synthetic mush and mystery meat). Finn takes Mitaka to the Resistance Base equivalent of Taco Night and blows his mind.
+ Mitaka starts off terrified of Finn because he's heard horror stories through the officer grapevine about the MAD REBEL STORMTROOPER.
+ Did Finn mention he's With The Resistance? Because he is. With the Resistance.
+ Mitaka is So Impressed by Finn's stories of fighting Kylo Ren.
