Well, to be fair, Kylo and Hux making out was totally appropriate by Outer Rim standards.^^ (I have this whole... thing about the Imperials developing their own culture, which I have been indulging by putting in a few details here and there.)

That being inside "Leia Bad Times while Kylux make out" should be the name of this fic. ^^

Oh sure, makes sense, manhandling the shredded 8-pack of your crazy wizard enforcer in front of a room full of opponents is the height of Wild Imperial decorum, as the host you've gotta make it clear how powerful you are! It's like setting the table with good china for important dinner guests -- just with more abs and power plays and casual executions and sneering.

I wonder then, if they'd be weirded out by public displays of agenda-free earnest emotion?

Like, Poe gives Leia a comforting hug or something (because of her endlessly cascading bad times) and everyone from the Outer Rim is like "Booo! Gross!" "Get a tent, you two! We don't need to see that!" "Umm, could you NOT express your sexless affection in here? Decent people are trying to makeout with their enslaved killers!!"

As I imagined it, it was totally acceptable because 1) Total Power play, 2) Hux is Supreme Warlord, what are you going to do about it? and 3) it was more sex than it was emotion. (Also 4)Kylo Ren is shredded, who wouldn't tap that?)

When it comes to PDA, please avoid having *actual* sex in front of us, we probably don't want to see it unless we're in that mood. But since all these people lived without the luxury of privacy, since they had nothing and were to busy fighting for their lives, they are sort of de-sensitized. It's not uncommon for someone to wait outside someone's door until they are done, and they just step in and start talking.

On the other hand, they still have Empire era emotional modesty. Public displays of emotion are just not done. So, if Poe were to give Leia a hug, they'd be all "Oh... Uh, you do you, I gues... weirdos." Cause obviously, these people have no boundaries. Also, they aren't even related, what gives?

[not that anon, other anon] You guys totally got me wondering about how Hux *actually* feels about Ren in this one, you know. All the glimpses we get are of power plays, but Lady Hux trying to subtly one-up Leia but also at the same time implying that Kylo makes her son happy and there's so much potential for drama here.
*i know what i'm going to be prompting on tumblr if you do get the series started tbh*
