The Vader comparisons are actually going to be pretty tame, since Vader always looked composed and in control, and Kylo... doesn't. Also, Kylo has never been truly trained in the Force, so his abilities are less impressive than Vader's. Then again, you can only go around strangling people for so long before parallels are drawn.

As for Luke and Rey's reaction... This AU is out of control in my head already, and I'm *thinking* of maybe doing posting more drabbles on AO3/my tumblr if there is any interest. (Will have to ask OP for permission). But in case that doesn't happen, it's basically various degrees of joy and misplaced guilt, and long deliberations over whether or not they should take him back.
