Hux has never taken a vacation. Hasn't even used a day off before.

But post-Starkiller -- besieged by Kylo's temper, ludicrous orders from Snoke, FO command breathing down his neck, his crew stopping work to take selfies with Millicent -- he's just done. Done! He's got 8 years of vacation saved up. He's going to use it, and they can all go to hell.

++ Nobody takes him seriously and thinks he'll be back 48 hours, tops
+++++ He lasts one day on vacation
++ What he wants is conquest. And mai tais.
++++++++ Starts taking practice runs at building empires: starting up a prominent criminal network (FO gets a discount but business is business, fam), playing politics on planets who were iffy about the FO, scooped up by bounty hunters only to later have them working explicitly for him, convincing NR senators to back the FO, etc. Way more satisfying than pretending to enjoy the wonders of the galaxy or whatever.
++ Confusion and consternation from the Finalizer as they follow him sheepishly around the galaxy, playing the space equivalent of Player's "baby come back"
+ Does he return, satisfied with his galactic conquest tour? Does the Finalizer stage a kidnapping? Bribed with rumors of Starkiller II? He stops by to pick up more clothes and they won't let him leave? Annoyed by all the spam email Kylo's been signing him up for? Embarrassed by the desperate attempts at luring him back? Has Phasma been texting pictures of an increasingly fat Millicent in degrading outfits? Mitaka's tears?

I can see space fed-ex space fed-exing a bottle of Mitaka's tears.
Also criminal boss Hux with many shredded pale young men with dark hair in metal mankinis.
Also confused Resistance is confused.

*snicker*. Now I have a list of Hux with an list of increasingly ridiculous titles. (I can just picture a herald - hired for the express occasion - shouting them out as Hux saunters back on the Finalizer's bridge - he just popped back briefly to pick up Millicent, he's found a nice planet with forests of catnip she'd probably enjoy).

"All hail Brendol Hux the Second! General Starkiller! Conquered of Clydonia! Grand Viziir of Catachan! Overlord of the Andals, Defeater of the Suxxon Horde! Grand High Poo-Bah of the Scarrn Renmants! Oh wow those titles.

I am feeling a touch of Terry Pratchett (forever in our hearts) being channeled most beautifully.
