Poe/Finn - Capture/Torture, hurt/comfort, nightmares

Finn is captured by the First Order, and sent to reconditioning. Somehow he tricks them or beats it, and he acts as if he’s been reconditioned in order to go undercover and get valuable info for the Resistance.

Then Poe comes with a squadron to save him, and in trying to save Finn, Poe gets captured. Phasma and Hux decide to test the reconditioning by asking Finn to kick off the torture- not extensive, but starting things off with some good old-fashioned pain.

Finn can’t break his cover in front of them. He has to go in that room with them, see the way Poe’s face lights up- and then falls when Finn shows no reaction and starts off the torture.

Poe has to endure that and some attention from another interrogator before Finn gets the info and gets himself and a severely injured Poe out of there. Finn explains everything and can’t apologize enough, and Poe being his damn selfless self, he has no hesitation in forgiving Finn, even being proud of him for the length he was willing to go to help the cause; the info really was THAT important.

But back at base, Finn can’t get over the guilt. Poe is having nightmares all over again, and sometimes when he wakes up, he flinches before he realizes he’s looking at Finn and not FN-2187. Finn can’t get over the memory of the horrified, betrayed expression on Poe’s face and the screams of pain he drew from him unwillingly.

They work through it together. Happy ending, or at least optimistic ending, pretty please. Can be established relationship or one that develops through the story.
