Hux and Kylo get married on the bridge of the Finalizer in the heat of the final battle between the FO and the Resistance, a la Will and Elizabeth's marriage as shown in the Pirate of the Caribbean (for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvenEcIHw8E). Can be as cracky or angsty as the writer wants, although this anon prefers shameless crack.

+Bonus: It's Phasma who officiates the wedding ("Now you may kiss--" *boom* "Now you may kiss the gr--" *sound of blasters firing* "OH JUST KISS ALREADY").

I loved that scene. Seconded!

The bridge was in complete chaos, with everyone desperately firing every cannon they could at the Resistance ships as dog fights zoomed past them, TIE fighters warding off X-Wings from actually striking the transparisteel and killing everyone on the bridge. Worse, they had already gotten onto the ship and were pressing worryingly close to that same section of the ship.

Hux was in the middle of it, trying to keep it together, but things weren’t looking too good. Especially when the Resistance was actually just down the hall, held at bay by a firefight lead by Captain Phasma and her troopers. When Kylo’s voice rang above the sound of the blasters, Hux didn’t even notice that it was without the vocoder until he turned and saw his face, pinched with worry but steely with some sort of determination.

“Hux!” he cried, and the General turned, hoping that this man could fix the situation. He had the Force, surely he could do something. “Will you marry me?”

Despite the ringing shouts of Phasma’s curses and the harsh expulsion of the blaster bolts, the panicked voices of the officers who shouted at one another, the taunts from the Resistance, everything seemed to go still and silent for a half a second before Hux gestured wildly around him and said, “I don’t think now is the best time, Kylo!”

A blaster shot fired between them, making Hux jump and Kylo gesture towards the door and snap, “I think now is the only time! Look, I love you more than anything and if I’m going to die today I’m going to die with a husband who loves me too.”

“Direct all fire at the boarding crafts!” shouted Hux, his head whipping around to whatever poor officer was manning the starboard cannons. Turning back to Kylo, he said, “Stop those blasters from getting in here and we have a deal.”

Holding up his hand towards the door, Kylo took Hux’s hand and shouted over his shoulder, “Phasma! You’re effectively third mate! Marry us!”

“I’m a little busy at the moment!” she yelled back.

“We’ve got witnesses for both parties,” pointed out Hux, even as with his free hand he organized regiments of troopers to go try and stop more Resistance from boarding.

With an almighty groan of frustration she shouted, even as she kept firing, “Dearly beloved, we gather here to bear witness to this union of fuck you! Fuck you and your mothers, all of you! Who bears witness to this union?”

“The bridge crew does, get on with it!” snapped Kylo, who seemed to look quite stressed, holding away the blaster bolts. They were growing quite numerous, a blue glow starting to actually pour in through the door for the number

“Hux, what do you bring to this union?”

“Rank of General,” snapped Hux, swearing at something on his datapad.

“Kylo, what about you?”

“Being the Supreme Leader’s first apprentice and lineage,” said Kylo.

“I will kill you all, see if I don’t you bantha shitted motherfuckers! Proceed with the vows!”

“Maximillian Hux, do you take me as your husband?”

“I do!” said Hux, sounding halfway between giddy and furious.

“Great!”

“Kylo Ren, do you take me to be your husband for better or for worse with a very distressing prospective as of now?”

“I do!”

“By the power invested in me by situational ranking,” pronounced Phasma. “I pronounce you married! You may—” a blaring siren began as the bridge was bathed with flashing red light “You may now kiss the—” a worrying and distinctive roar from a wookie was heard from the hallway “Just kiss!”

Kylo took Hux into his arms then, and kissed him fully on the mouth, his concentration slipping and immediately falling backwards and pulling Hux with him as no less that forty blaster shots sailed above them.

“Please keep it slightly more together than that!” scolded Hux when they separated, taking up his datapad and still working as the alarm still rang out around them.

“Are we in danger from this?” asked Kylo.

“Oh no, just informing us that hostiles have boarded the ship as though we hadn’t fucking figured that out yet!”

“Language, husband.”

“You go kill those Resistance fighters and we may yet get to consummate this marriage.” At that, Kylo took his lightsaber and vaulted over Phasma’s head as he ignited it, ignoring her shouts about a runaway groom.

Ha ha ha ha! Holy shit, that was so panicked and awesome! This anon is in love!

OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS. I LOVE ALL OF THIS. Phasma needs to officiate every wedding. Kissing grooms under a shower of accidentally-force-released blaster fire is so romantic~
