Suddenly everyone is randomly bursting into song and synchronised dance routines. No one knows if its some weird mind control ray, the Force going bananas, or dance-pollen, but it's happening everywhere.

People who are not dating or even like each other break into random love duets, Hux gets a dramatic emotional song about his lost love...Star Killer Base. Finn gets two breakup songs, one for the First Order and another one for Jakku.

Yes! Though I suspect the break up songs for Finn would be less sad and more Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive", but the point definitely stands.

Seconding because I didn't know dance-pollen fic was a thing (DID YOU INVENT A NEW GENRE, OP? THE BEST GENRE??) and I need it in my life.

OMG imagine the massive musical numbers you could have with all the stormtroopers! Maybe Han survives because Kylo keeps singing about what he's going to do ("Feelin' torn apaaart and pa-tri-ci-dal, come closer if you're su-i-ci-dal!") and Han beautifully jeté's off the walkway to safety?

Re: dance-pollen I haven't heard of it before, but I don't claim to have invented it. In another fandom there was also cuddle-pollen at one point, so I think crack mutations just happen now and then.
