...I am now picturing Ren crying but helping to skin and gut the deer, because good Disney princes(ses) do what they're told. Particularly if it's by the villain.

Cue Hux's villain song, ("Mother General Knows Best / Poor Unfortunate Souls Deer") that's more like a speech because Hux doesn't sing. And because Disney Villains aren't allowed to be sensibly observant he pretends he can't see Ren pocketing that discarded antler to use as a shank later, or that he can hear the defiant strings of Ren's "Torn Apart" (reprise) theme starting to filter through the sounds of efficient space bambi butchery and gourmet roasting. All he can do is wait. And maybe shoot one of the chipmunks scampering around Ren's ankles, FOR DESSERT.
