Yes please.

Now I just imagine little Hux in a locked cell, and Ben throwing a tantrum at mom for locking up his only friend(?) who is not impressed by his lineage or afraid/jealous of his force powers or nervous about his temper.

And the Resistance having to move camp, and Ben running for Hux first.

And Hux trying to escape, with repeat fails. And when he finally manages to do it, he turns the shuttle around after a few days, because Ben won't shut up in his head.

Ben: I wasn't crying, I wasn't! Shut up Hux!

Hux grudgingly stays with the Resistance, after one particularly bad intrusion by Snoke left Ben rolling on the ground, screaming. Also Hux mom and Hux dad just got divorced, and mom moved to Republic territory. Also with this long a time away and so behind in his training, there is very little chance the Academy will take him back into the officer program now.
