Genres You Read / Write

(Anonymous) 2016-03-18 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Outside of Star Wars I'm curious about what other genres everyone likes to read, write, or generally enjoy.

Do you love to read more science fiction?
Enjoy writing historical epics?
Love a good mystery or thriller?
Like a bit of everything?

Of course I post this in the prompts post and not the discussion post. Of course. Ugh.

Hux reads historical military memoirs of many cultures, biographies of major military figures and rarely hard science scifi.

... I think Hux is my father.

Contrary to popular opinion, Kylo does not exclusively read graphic novel adaptations of the history of Darth Vader. He does read murder mysteries, and spends rather more time than most of his shipmates would be comfortable knowing in equating various ends to various people and sometimes critiquing the efficiency of the methods. He also enjoys the holonet equivalent of trashy gossip rags and is therefore surprisingly up to date on galactic politics as seen through the filter of fashion and rumors. He does not read horror. (It's either laughably wrong or far too real.)

I was going to say that Rey probably either had a low level of literacy or was self-taught on scavenged flight-instruction manuals or something BUT OH WHAT, YOU ALREADY WROTE IT AND IT'S FANTASTIC!

There's something so sweet and so sad about the way the legendary galactic drama is simplified into her stories. I love it <3<3<3
