The morning exercise block is the first to fall to Kylo-time. Hux privately thinks this is fine, as Kylo-time involves just as much high-intensity cardio. But, emboldened by that victory, Kylo-time starts to spread across his schedule like a conquering hoarde. Shower block is a lost cause, ("um, showering together saves water? Don't you care about efficient resource-management, Hux?") Breakfast block barely puts up a fight, ("we can just eat in bed, Hux. Start with my ass.") Morning Debriefing block is a catastrophic loss, ("GET THOSE FUCKING BRIEFS OFF, GENERAL"), Kylo-time employs scorched earth tactics, frontal assaults, multiple choke points -- there were no survivors.

Hux only starts to worry about the annexation of his routine by Kylo-time when one day he idly considers taking up smoking, scheduling 15-minute smoke breaks during his shift, quitting smoking, and using those 15-minute breaks to indulge in a completely different oral fixation. That's... a concern.

But it makes sense to fight fire with fire.

Your comment made me laugh! I'm glad someone else liked to think about Hux's tightly scheduled and v. organized day. I'm thinking that this is how Hux finally learned to delegate. There was a day that just consisted of Kylo passive-aggressively/meaningfully curled up on his lap like a cat that refuses to get off the keyboard.
