OP: I have not seen Edge of Tomorrow but am now interested! I thought of a About Time AU because Gleeson is the film's protag, but I didn't know what to do with the whole "go in a cupboard and close your eyes to travel back in time Tim". I can't see Hux go to a space cupboard every two seconds aha
(Love the idea of Hux mouthing along with Ren's insults btw)

Oh mate, Edge of Tomorrow is great; it's what happens if you shake all the charming British fluff out of About Time and replace it with Tom Cruise getting his ass kicked. To death. Repeatedly. Instead of a time-travel cupboard there's a war with alien monsters. Every time he dies his day resets but he learns a little more each time to solve shit -- that's what I thought was so similar to your prompt, if Hux wants to avoid execution he's gonna have to solve shit. Kylon Ren is the shit.

As a possible space-cupboard option I would suggest the trash compactor! When Phasma gets crammed in there she probably thinks no one will ever think to look for her OH HERE'S HUX, NOT TO RESCUE HER, BUT TO SHOO HER OUT SO HE CAN GO IN ALONE??? Omg, can you imagine Hux having one of those "happy" About Time days, just strolling around Starkiller smiling at everything, traumatizing everyone.

Also, eerie coincidence, but Brendan Gleeson, Domhnall's dad, is in EoT as a no-nonsense bastard of a General! What's the deal with Gleeson's and groundhog day movies and generals???
