LAWYER AUS are so played out in my mind and would be so obvious as to not be worth writing, tbh.

Like, Leia Oragana, Esq, as the supervisor of a scrappy public defenders unit with Poe Dameron as the perpetually exhausted & overworked but always charming litigator who'll do ANYTHING for ~~her~~ The Cause, Rey as their scrappy investigator, and Finn as some fresh-out-of-law school kid who got a scholarship to Columbia and was being funneled into the big Corporate Law Firm but doesn't do so great with the culture, quit, and ends up hanging with all these bleeding heart social justice lawyer nerds and making no money at all for his troubles. They've got some hippie-dippy office in Harlem or Jackson Heights or The Bronx where they do a bunch of community organizing BS too and even have a community garden or something and an office dog and/or cat.

On the other hand the First Order's cold & sterile #aesthetic works for the most stereotypical Big Firm image, with Phasma, Hux and Kylo as a cohort of associates squabbling for a single partnership slot though, tbh, it's probably going to be Phasma, with her Jerri Hogarth haircut & killer pantsuits & sterling reputation as a baby corporate shark. Hux probably specializes in something horrifically boring like Securities Regulation Compliance but he makes the firm SO MUCH MONEY that they're eager to keep him around. Kylo is MAYBE great at shit like jury selection (it's like he can ~read their minds~) and coming up with compelling & unexpected legal theories (AMBUSHES) for cases but cannot in any way be allowed to actually present in court, because he is SCARY AS SHIT and not in a good way. Like they tried putting him on weird criminal defense things, with really rich clients, figuring he's already such a mess that he'd be good at building ~rapport but uh...not so much. Like, definite attitude problems and contempt citations every time he so much as thinks of going before a judge. SHUT IT DOWN.

I'm so sad Lawyer AUs are played out for you anon because I WANT ALL OF THIS. I WANT TEN CHAPTERS OF THIS.
