Snoke grasps Ren's hair, pulls his head back and slaps him across the face hard enough to send him sprawling to the floor, and this time he doesn't get up again. Ren's still crying, almost soundlessly now, sharp intakes of breath and wounded-animal groans interspersed with coughing and gagging as he spits up the last of Snoke's come. He continues to retch for a while without bringing anything up, and Hux finds himself unable to look away, both revolted and fascinated by the spectacle Ren's become. Violated, disgraced, unable to so much as crawl on all fours to escape his tormentor, who- Hux realizes-- appears to have excused himself already. Without much ado, Snoke has disappeared, leaving Hux utterly alone with a half-conscious and brutalized Kylo Ren who's still trying without much success to empty the contents of his stomach.

“Stop,” Hux says. He crouches beside Ren, places a cautious hand on his shoulder. “You're going to tear your guts out doing that.”

“Don't touch me.” Ren bares his teeth at Hux, briefly, before a fresh paroxysm of nausea rips through him and he gags spectacularly, still nothing coming out but a thin string of dribble that could be Hux's come or Snoke's or just Ren's own bloodied saliva.

“You very obviously need medical attention.”

“It's only pain. It's meant to strengthen me.” Ren tries and fails to raise himself up onto his knees, and whatever soft parts of Hux's heart can't stand to see any sapient being reduced to such wretchedness twinge uncomfortably. Hux slides his fingertips between the smooth hard edge of the curbing collar and Ren's skin, probing along its circumference for some kind of latch or clasp.

“I'm going to take the collar off.” Hux's fingers find the catch, fumble with it until something snaps and the collar comes away in his hands. Ren gives no indication that he recognizes Hux as his deliverer; only shows his teeth again, snaps desultorily at Hux's hands when they settle on his neck.

“Go away.”

“You're hurt.”

“Supreme Leader won't let me...”

“Do you think he won't let you die, Ren? Do you recall what he's done to you? A creature like Snoke should never have been allowed such power over something as beautiful and useful as your body.” Hux gets an arm under Ren and starts pulling him upright, and Ren doesn't resist, but neither is he particularly helpful.

“He wants me to endure this pain. To be shaped by it. Remade. Each time he corrects me, I grow stronger.”

“Can you walk? Stand, now, come on, I need you to...” Ren lurches to his feet, leaning heavily on Hux's shoulder. He's no longer bleeding; his body, Hux supposes, having instinctively begun to heal itself as soon as the Force was allowed to flood back into it. “You need help, Ren. And a great deal of rest.”

Naked and thoroughly chastened, Ren clings to Hux as they make their way through the mercifully empty corridors of the ship. He clings mindlessly, like a child, like he no longer knows who or what Hux is besides a warm upright human body in close enough proximity to comfort him. Hux feels strangely powerful now, more powerful than he'd felt forcing his cock down Ren's throat. He props Ren up as long as he has to, leaves him in medbay passed-out facedown in a vast white bed with droids swarming and chirping around him. Hux returns to his own quarters and showers as if he's performing a purification ritual, aware of every inch of his skin as if it's a soiled garment that he can't take off. He feels the strangest slightest vibration in his bones, what must be the aftershock of Snoke's power entering him. Beyond that he doesn't feel Snoke, or Ren, at all.
