Phasma has been a sleeper agent or spy for Leia the entire time, that's the reason why she lowered the planetary shields. She actually has been in a loving marriage (can be an open marriage, too) with Poe for several years. He is quite turned on by her Stormtrooper cover. They have great reunion sex after the destruction of starkiller.

Finn and Rey are locked in a cell by bad guys and Poe, acting as "Captain", goes to negotiate with the pirates that picked them up. Except they're really not interested in negotiating further than fucking Poe. He doesn't want to but they threaten to do it to Finn or Rey and he can't think of another way out of this and he doesn't want Finn and Rey involved in this at all. He does it thinking Finn and Rey don't have to find out and everything will be fine. But Finn and Rey aren't stupid and the pirates keep making suggestive comments as they leave and Poe is really not okay at all.

Poe gets beaten up somewhere. Not taken or kidnapped or beaten up by anyone particularly special. He just gets his ass kicked for talking smart to the wrong people, and Finn is protective and caring and exasperated all at once.

This is an amazing piece of writing A!A. I am so delighted that you’re filling this! Sidious’ voice is perfect with just the right amount of pragmatism contrasting with avaricious Sith desire. Rey’s situation is also handled really well. By having it from Sidious’ perspective, there is an element of disconnect from the misery of Rey’s situation, which makes the emotional content of it a lot subtler. I can’t wait to see where it goes.

Also your hand-wavy plot device is actually really plausible and I love all the continuity and EU nods.

Finally, you may want to put link this to the fill post. I stumbled across it by chance, and would have been sad to miss.

Well I'M certainly ready!

Wow, thank you!! I was really trying to get Sidious's voice down, as well as the 'just what, exactly, would he do with Rey if he found her?' thing. Answer? Use her. And since it's Sidious, he won't settle for anything less than devotion...He is the master of the long game.

And wow I completely missed the existance of the Fills post! I will be linking to this as soon as it's done...And it's totally almost done.

a/n: Yeah I’ve totally been spelling ‘Sidious’ wrong. I will correct this! Also, Sith training is a real bitch.

The first thing he did was kick her out of bed.

“I am your Master,” he said, as she knelt before him, her eyes red and wet. “It is not fitting.” He smiled inwardly at the flare of anger, the rising pain of rejection. “My Apprentice must obey me in all things. If you cannot accept this, then there is nothing I can teach you.”

Rey gritted her teeth and nodded, squelching the rising tide of tears. She bowed her head obediently as he paced around her, sizing her up as if he hadn’t been weighing her strengths and weaknesses for years.

“Then your training begins now.” Anticipation curled in her belly, thoughts of sabers, of battle - hands on flushed skin slick with sweat - flooding her mind. He turned and walked inside. Rey jumped to her feet, sparking with excitement.

“Sid –“ She yelped as he pushed her back down with the Force. She tried to stand again, only to find herself frozen on one knee, unable to move. He leaned against the doorway, watching silently as she struggled. Slowly he loosened his hold as she realizing what he was doing. He quirked an eyebrow in question. She nodded and stilled, straightening her back and balance.

Sidious left her there until the sun came up.

He found her out cold, lying curled up on her side. He paused, considering, and then planted his foot firmly on her back and pushed. She jerked awake and tried to stand, only to immediately tumble when her muscles gave out. He estimated that she’d lasted four hours. Not bad.

Not good either.

“Sidious – “ She cried out as his power ground her face into the dirt. She shook with shock, raw terror coursing through her as he reached down, wrapped his hand around her neck and squeezed.

“You will address me as ‘Master’, or ‘My Lord’,” he said, hauling her up by the hair. He leaned lower, so close that they were sharing breath. “Is that clear?”

“Yes – Si – “ His grip tightened. “Yes, my Lord!”

“Good,” he said, letting her drop. Slowly she raised herself to one knee, and bowed her head.

He brought her water around mid-day. Perhaps he was growing soft.

Sidious did not so much as mention combat training for weeks. There were other, more important lessons to learn. Two days outside had taught her the consequences of disrespect and (unlike Vader), she was quick to accept her place in the universe as well as obey. She set up a rough pallet on the floor next to their – his – bed. He had been tempted to exile her to the kitchen (or the roof), but it was awfully cold at night, the Wastes were dangerous, and he did not want to burn certain…bridges.

This, he thought, stretching luxuriously against the pillows, looking down on his exhausted apprentice, Is the way it should be. The thin blanket barely covered the long, curving lines of her shivering body.

Mine.

He further exposed her to the elements, training her in ways to block her pain and discomfort, and to ease both, lest the harsh world cause her permanent damage. He joined her on the first trip to the top of the Ravager. There, they removed all but the base layers of clothing and moved through the first Djem So kata as the sun beat down, their sweat evaporating as it hit metal.

Rey had second degree burns on the soles of her feet at the end of the day. He allowed her some bacta – her head and shoulders were unburnt, so she had succeeded in protecting herself to some degree - before leading her on a run to the Gorgon and back. Sidious gloried in every burning gasp of air, every cramp in his legs. Rey came up with increasingly inventive curses every step of the way. But she kept up.

Eventually she earned it. They cleared out the AT-AT’s hold and set up a makeshift sparring ring. He summoned her before the sun was up, three months to the day after he took her as an Apprentice.
“All lightsaber combat can be traced back to this.” He paused in front of her and extended his hand, palm up. She looked up at him, frowning with confusion.

“The Force is in all things,” he continued. “It has always existed. And always will. Lightsabers, however…” He waved her up, positioned her into a basic defensive stance, one foot forward, one back, knees bent, her weight centered. “…Are a relatively recent invention.” He shoved at her shoulder to check her balance. When she could stand firm, he moved behind her.

“A true Sith is never unarmed,” he said in her ear, stepping close enough so that she could feel his heat. His arms circled her, lifted hers, and he positioned them in the Juyo ‘ready’ position. “Hold that,” he said, savoring her shiver. “The core of this form is strength. Conviction.”

He felt her question.

“A Sith is never unarmed,” he said. “Just as kata is not a dance.”

Sidious stepped away and watched her. Clearly she was expecting a repeat of her first night as his apprentice. Instead he came at her from the side – and this time she surprised him. She pivoted to the side and whipped an arm up to protect her face. They met in a violent clash of limbs, ending with Rey on her back, panting and red-faced, his knee on her throat.

“Good,” he said, smiling fiercely. “Again.”

I just want to see two or more people fighting dirty for recreational reasons. It's not political (usually) or a matter of safety, it's entirely a (somewhat moderated) vent to anger/frustration. It's not sexual as an aim, though that might be a byproduct. Club rules include no one dies or is permanently functionally damaged, but a bit of maiming or injuries that require recovery are entirely acceptable. AU or behind the scenes in Star Wars land are both fine.

Some ideas, though any/any is entirely acceptable:

Leia demands respect from a dismissive politician. (Aggressive negotiations are a family motto.)
Han and Lando decide to settle their difference and put everything in the past aside... after they fight.
Poe calls out someone who's said something disparaging about General Organa.
Finn thinks this is nuts but he participates anyway.
(Or this is what Stormtroopers /do/ and the brass is mostly ignorant.)
Rey is a regular.
Hux has one rule: not on the face. (It could be argued that that misses the /point/ but the last person to violate it couldn't walk under their own power after and as long as you respect Not On The Face, Hux won't rearrange yours.)
Phasma wipes the floor.
Kylo is not allowed to participate. (Maybe it’s even self-imposed.) Or rampaging cyclone Kylo, it’s all really your choice.

OP here and YAAAAAAASSSSSSS I AM SO HERE FOR THIS. BLESS YOU AND YOUR FILTHY BRAIN. Please do continue, oh my god. I love that tiny hint of Kylo liking the touch and the hate banter is perfect.

Hux keeps a security holo of Kylo's training rooms on his desk. He started watching Ren when he first came aboard the Finalizer to get a better read on him and learn his potential weaknesses, but now he keeps it there because he likes it. Watching Kylo meditate a few feet off the floor, or stand on his head stacking rocks with the Force is a soothing counterpoint to late night paperwork. Some people keep fish, Hux has a tiny holographic sith wannabe blocking blaster shots and doing tai chi on his desk.

Does Kylo know? Does Hux know if Kylo knows? Does Hux even care if he does?

This is so delicious. I love how pragmatic he is about training her, yet not emotionally distant enough to not enjoy her, and training her. Its a balance that leaves me hungry for more of them, falling into each other in different and dark ways.
