Hux is a wealthy man, well in his thirties, and by many accounts, a "cold bastard". Kylo is a 19 year old with untold depths of childishness and a complicated relationship with his parents.

Hux buys him all the black clothing, ridiculous jewelry, surprisingly appealing make up he wants. All Kylo has to do in exchange is be a good boy for him.

Of course, Kylo is often petulant and contrary, but Hux doesn't mind one bit. It just gives him an excuse to punish his unruly boy. (Occasionally, he suspects Kylo is being difficult on purpose, but again, neither of them truly mind.)

Bonus:
+ Kylo in a skirt, which is both hot and gives very easy access.
++ Hux uses the name "Ben" during their punishment sessions, because "boy" is basically an endearment at this point and he does have a sadistic streak anyway.

Poe's family was an Imperial one, not a Rebellion one, and he came up through the officer's ranks before deciding the last thing he wanted was a console in CIC. He went through the special forces program instead- he learned to ply his charm, to lie. He's one of the best spies in the First Order, and reports directly to General Hux.

Hux finds reasons for Poe to report to him in person.

Any/any: soulmate AU, shared dreams

Soulmates share dreams. You can't consciously control it (because dreams), but a life shared like that means that you'll recognise your soulmate on some level when you meet, though it can take a little while to confirm. Sleeping in physical contact (ie, spooning) solidifies the connection so that you can share thoughts while awake.

* You have to be asleep at the same time, which is hardly guaranteed when your soulmate might be on an entirely different planet, let alone in a similar time zone
* The Force acts as the galactic MPAA and makes sure that no minors get racy dreams from their older soulmates that's not how the Force works or something.

+ for platonic soulmates and/or multiple soulmates (concurrently)
