Huh, now I'm wondering if Fae Glamour would work on a Force-user? Like, everyone stationed under Hux keeps talking about his 'otherworldly beauty' and Ren... just doesn't see it? Like, Hux iss interesting-looking--a bit too pointy, a bit too feral-looking, especially around the eyes, not quite human, sure, but beauty?

OP here, and wow. This was everything I'd hoped for and more. Thank you so much! I love the characters of the Knights (yay for Lady Knights!). The whole ash-diamond thing is very romantic, though that might just be me being morbid. I do hope we get to see Mitaka's answer.

This was such a good prompt, thank you OP, I hope I've done it justice.

The day Hux does it is the day he finally lets Kylo come in with him.

Not that he hadn't been feeding him bits of information over the past few weeks. He hasn't kept him completely in the dark. That would have been cruel.

He'd just not told him where. It wouldn't have done for him to be interrupted during something he'd laboured over so intensively - not prematurely, at least.

It hadn't been easy, despite the power he holds as general, to fake a visiting diplomat's death. (Faulty airlock, oh dear.) He'd even gone to the memorial service and signed the book of condolences - and not with "fuck you" as Ren had suggested - before it was given to his grieving widow. She'd not much to grieve over, both figuratively and literally. The beauty of blaming an airlock used to eject trash for a death is that nobody expects a body.)

But now. Now the time to show him is right and it feels glorious. Whilst some would champion the peace that forgiveness brings, Hux wants to laugh and vouch for vengeance instead. Years of bitterness have culminated in this, him, looming over Kylo on the immaculate (yet infrequently used) storage room floor, smearing his mouth red with blood as his victim enters the gurgling stage of dying. Funny what having his throat torn out will do to a man.

"Victim". Hux wants to laugh cruelly, so he does. Kylo looks up at him, wide-eyed. Wanting. Impressed. It's a potent mix, and he leans down again and nips at his throat, mirroring how he'd finally struck the fatal blow. Kylo makes a keening sound and rubs their hips together, shuddering hard enough that Hux feels it when he sucks a mark under his jaw.

The silence when he pulls back to look at it is punctuated by another wet choking sound.

"I can't believe you finally let me see-" Kylo breathes, and kisses his cheekbone, his jaw, his neck. "I'd no idea you could be so-"

"Cruel?" Hux sneers, and takes his wrists in his hands to pin them either side of his head. He's removed his gloves but not in time - the blood had already soaked through. His fingetips are red where they hold Kylo's own immobile.

Kylo shakes his head.

"Visceral." he breathes, awed.

Hux rewards him with a kiss. He can still taste blood in his mouth, in the cracks of his teeth. Kylo grinds against his stomach and Hux feels a stab of arousal so sharp it's like it's him that's had his stomach (and lung, and eye, and - he could go on) punctured. He wants to get off quick and dirty right here on the floor, wants to make Ren scream as loud as he had the man strapped to the table, if for a completely different reason.

In the time it's taken him to think, Kylo has wriggled free.

He pauses.

"Tell me, Ren, how long does it take a man to die?"

Ren grins, and it's full of savage glee.

"I'd say he's half an hour left in him. If that." he says, and he's working on Hux's belt.

"Well then." Hux replies, grabbing Kylo's thigh and pulling it to hook around his waist. "We haven't a moment to lose."

Kylo took one look at the blissed-out junior officers in his bed and reached for his lightsaber.

Fortunately for the two lieutenants, the space weed really was special. And Kylo had left his helmet on the sofa. So when he rushed forward, saber blazing, he got a nice, big lungful of space weed, mixed with his grandfather's ashes.

The contact high grabbed him by the metaphorical nutsack.

He felt a strong, gloved hand grasp the back of his shirt and throw him onto the bed in between the two lieutenants. Kylo giggled as the still-smoking helmet lifted off the bed, and into the lap of the tall, armored man sitting cross-legged at the end.

"Hiiiiiii," said Kylo. His arms were waaaay to heavy to lift, but he tried anyway. His hands flapped pathetically.

"Mmmmph," said Hale, scooting over and nuzzling Kylo's ear. "S'not regulation," she said, through a mouthful of his hair, accidently-on-purpose tangling her legs with his.

Marzak burped, rolled over, and spooned Kylo, his arm flopping across his chest. "You smell...Nice...Everything's so nice..." He started humping Kylo's leg vigorously.

Kylo giggled and slung his arms around the two officers.

"I have the best friends!"

Anakin grinned and took a hit.

Turns out his helmet made an excellent bong.

WOW. I didn't even have my eyes on this particular prompt, but this was just really marvellously written. Chilling and disturbing, especially paired with the impersonal sex and *that* last line. Ouch. Please chew some more, a!a, I'll always be there for such mind-blowingly awesome, twisted, dark stories.

A!A: *high five!* NEVER ENOUGH MYSTICAL SPACE WEED

(The first part of the alternate, slightly happier ending in which Poe is rescued.)

Hux reacts poorly to the news that the shuttle Poe had been on had been captured by the Resistance. He had not wanted to be separated from Poe, but it had been necessary. And now Poe is gone. Hux throws a datapad against the wall in his quarters hard enough to break it. It does not make him feel better.

Two days pass with no sign of where the Resistance may have taken Poe. Hux is even more irritable and waspish with the crew than usual, even rivaling Ren's temper at times. He cannot truly focus on the reports that the crew brings to him as his thoughts are solely on bringing Poe back to where he belongs. Hux nearly even sends orders that would have lead to disaster. He would have if not for Mitaka hesitantly offering correction on his error. A part of Hux is impressed by the lieutenant’s nerve. That is all that makes him relieve him of duty for the next couple days and not have him thrown out an airlock.

Ren pulls him aside on the third day. "Careful, General," he taunts. "That your personal interests not interfere with your duties." He very nearly punches Ren's damnable mask, but stops himself at the last second. He stalks past Ren without replying. Ren is right, after all. Hux tears his room apart that night. He falls asleep holding the pillow that had been used by Poe, his scent soothing his anger somewhat but it still does not compare to his warm body pressed up against Hux's side.
