Well, basically, what made me first start relating was in Finn's reaction to the "look at how great the First Order is" broadcasts, which is exactly how I feel about a lot of American patriotism, which isn't much but it made me start thinking. Finn doesn't fit in very well socially with other stormtroopers, and a lot of his success in general seems to be from being good at following orders and memorizing scripts. This probably is meant in a "Finn just has a conscience unlike other stormtroopers" way, but I don't think this is mutually exclusive.

It's all very circumstantial (especially the thing about the broadcasts! there are probably lots of NT people who think that too) but I am in the "fanfiction exists to explore all the possibilities, and if it's REALLY a stretch just call it an AU" camp, so I'd really like to see at least one fic where Finn is ND, whether someone sees this and decides to write it or if someone just links to something that someone else already wrote.
