FILL: Kylo, Ben and Matt - triplets AU, visiting the family, Crack 1/?

When Leia announced she was pregnant two months after their first night together, Han’s first thought was ‘What were the chances?’

When they found out they were having triplets, Han bit his lip and tried not to think about the probabilities.

When the eldest, Ben, was caught outside the house locked in a good night kiss with an older, scruffy teen, Han bit his lip and retreated from the window. Ben had entered through the door then, looking flushed, and his eyes widened upon seeing Han’s knowing gaze. “Dad,” he choked out. “I’m—“

“I know,” He said. A gay son. So what? He could handle a gay son.
Two gay sons, however…

“Really? You too?” He said in disbelief a few months later. Kylo rolled his eyes and took his sweet time climbing off the redheaded male’s lap. The ginger stared at him looking similarly unapologetic, still sitting on Kylo’s bed like he belonged there. Han’s eyebrows were raised so high that they risked disappearing into his hairline. His now graying hairline. “Get over it, Han,” Kylo (the quintessential middle child) snapped.

“So we have two gay kids, and one straight kid,” he’d told Leia as they settled in for bed.

“There’s nothing wrong with that, of course,” she said in a warning tone.

“Of course there’s nothing wrong with it,” he retorted, on the defensive. “But I never would’ve bet my money on Matt being the straight one.”

It turns out, even that hadn’t held true.

“His name is Finn,” Matt had told him on the phone. “He lives on 2187—“

“Slow down.” Han couldn’t help but knead his forehead. “So this thing—it’s serious? You’re gay?”

“Father,” Matt said, and paused awkwardly. And then with an accusatory lilt to his voice: “I thought you’d accept me.”

“I do! I’m just – I mean, I’m excited to meet him, Matt. Your mother and I miss you, and we’re glad you’re visiting this weekend. It’ll be nice to have you all under one roof again.” He frowned, as realization dawned on him. “With all of your boyfriends. Together. Huh.” He thought of the overly-affectionate Poe, who was far too much of a suck-up to Leia, especially. He thought of the stand-offish Hux, who always looked at him as if he were wet newspaper.

“Is this a magical triplet thing?” He’d ranted to Leia later. “If you’re born from the same embryo, you share the same DNA and sexuality and stuff like that? Does that mean Luke is—“ And upon seeing her disapproving look, raised his hands in surrender. “Hey, I’m just wondering!”

She laughed. “I’m looking forward to having them all of them here. Though there’s a thirty percent chance the house won’t be standing by the time this is over.”

“I thought we always agreed,” he said as he cast her a wry smile. “Never tell me the odds.”

He couldn’t shake the nagging feeling that the weekend was going to be utter hell for everyone.

I am just grinning and cackling like an idiot, anon. Kylo being the "quintessential middle child" is so perfect. I'm just dying!

I can't wait for part 2 of My Three Gay Sons.

I like how much you can infer about the triplets from what they choose to call their dad.

Ben = simply "Dad"
Kylo = disrespectful "Han"
Matt = weirdly formal -- but not technically incorrect! -- "Father"

I love this fill so much. Kylo is perfect as the middle child, Ben is a sweetheart and Matt's poor dejection ("I thought you'd accept me"). Han is hilarious, and I really enjoyed how Leia took everything in stride. Great callback with 'never tell me the odds'.
