Trigger Warning: Mentions of child abuse.

At first Ben was just running with Snoke's gang because they gave him the attention his Senator mom and trucker dad weren't around to, but with time he started to get attached to the others - Finn, whose parents walked out on him and who was abused in the foster system until he ran away. Hux, whose father is brutal and cold in equal measures and would hit him as soon as look at him. Phasma, who ran away from a home so bad she doesn't even talk about it but has worked her way up to being both muscle and mother. And Poe, the Air Force kid whose father was just never there. Ben loves them all like a family, united by Snoke's guidance to get money and have a good time and generally waste their lives.

Time goes by and one day, while out committing a standard evening's worth of crimes - dealing drugs, getting fucked up on some illegal substance, whatever - Leia sees her son and co. and is horrified at how she's failed him. He's eighteen though and just moves out to live with Snoke. The degree of crime he gets into goes up a notch when he does and he's bound to get killed sooner rather than later.

So she enlists Finn and Poe, easily the nicest and least awful people in the group, to try to get her son back before that happens.

Bonus points if along the way she ends up emotionally adopting the two.

These types of stories hit me so hard in the feelings. To be betrayed by someone who you felt that you could trust implicitly and explicitly is just crushing.

All my yesses for this. Wow.

So in canon the Resistance isn't so much a military organization as a glorified fighter squadron, financially/logistically dependent on whatever Leia can get out of a handful of sympathizing Republic officials. The assault on Starkiller Base and the destruction of the Hosnian system leaves them completely in shambles, with half of their pilots dead and basically no material resources to keep fighting.

I'd love to see a post-TFA fic exploring how they struggle to make ends meet and try to gain the upper hand over the FO, who's also been shaken up by the destruction of Starkiller Base but is doing much better financially.

Some ideas:

- most of their money go on x-wings repairs/maintenance, so they have to skimp on everything else, including medical supplies
- while we're at it, the x-wings aren't actually the best out there (shoddy repairs, cheap replacement parts)
- pilots share pretty much everything, tight bunks, bits of equipment (for added angst, the stuff their dead comrades leave behind)
- at their lowest point? yeah, they're basically forced to ration food.

Could work as a 5+1 fic, would love to see Rey and Finn put their experience with deprivation to good use and help out and try to keep everyone's spirits up. Anon loves Rey/Finn/Poe, but this could totally be gen.

I think it was a joke considering all the drama a few pages back? Tbh, if this baits someone it's not the Anon you replied to's fault; it would be a new level of ridiculousness because it's obviously just a spelling mistake (just like the one on the other page was arguably a grammatical mistake) and not even in the prompt.

That being said, prompt OP, I gotcha on this prompt. Love me some soulmate AU ft. Finn!! Probably today or tomorrow.

I am all in if there is a 'midnight requisitioning' protocol in place. (ie flat out stealing stuff in emergencies)

(Soulmate AU in the 'People can only see Black/White/Gray and only start seeing color when they meet their soulmate)

I've seen a few things involving little Ben and Poe having grown up together, and I'd kind of like to see the dark side equivalent - little Hux and Phasma having grown up together in the Imperial colonies, and supporting each other through every stage of their respective careers/lives ever since.

Bonus Points for:
+ Phasma being a year or two older than Hux and Hux having had his last growth spurt super late, resulting in this giant blonde school girl dragging around her tiny ginger companion (he never did quite catch up to her afterall...)
+ + The pair being casually physically affectionate despite not being remotely romantically interested in each other.
+ + + Phasma having a collection of cute/silly photos and videos of the two of them through the years (these may constitute the only concrete evidence that Hux is in fact capable of smiling).

(any pairings the filler feels like adding are welcome, though the OP has a soft spot for Kylux)
