Everyone's skipping ahead to Magical OT3 Land, but I neeeeeeeed this first.

Rey hears a lot about Poe from BB-8, Finn, and the General. When she finally meets him, though, she just says, "You're Poe Dameron? ...Huh." Poe is confused. He tries The Smile. She is immune. He tries The Charming Words. She shrugs and finds a logic fallacy. He is at a loss. Everyone usually falls in love with him at first sight.

Later, it's only when he's doing his usual maintenance work on his X-Wing and she happens to walk by does she show any interest. Not so much in him, of course -- that BAMF black X-Wing is like a V8 twin turbo engine classic muscle care to her. So they bond over mech. She still has no romantic interest in him, but he's fine. He has Finn, after all.

BONUS COOKIES: a friendly rivalry develops over who is a more skilled pilot

BONUS CAKE: Finn appears and is sure that the mech talk is yet another language he doesn't understand, they notice him and invite him over, Finn is like a happy puppy between them

I'm just thinking about Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. "This is an off day for me."

This is the second time Poe has been compared to Flynn Rider on this thread and I just did a minifill for the other one so now I'm probably going to have a crack fill going through my head for this one all night.
