Rey was expecting Finn to have changed during the time they were apart. Over a year and a half of training was a long time away from someone you had only just met. She had certainly changed. She was more confident now, less worried about proving herself. She was less quick to anger and found it easier to understand others. If she changed it stood to reason Finn had too. What she wasn't expecting was to find Finn pregnant.

"Oh galaxies. No kriffing way," she said as she pulled back from the hug that Finn had swept her up into to stare at the large belly she'd felt pressed against her.

"How did this happen?" she asked.

"Poe," he answered.

"The pilot with the jacket?" she moved her head and looked around with narrowed eyes, but the man was nowhere to be found. "Where is the scoundrel?"

"Him and BB-8 are off world. And he's not a scoundrel," he was grinning at her, looking slightly embarrassed, "it just sort of happened. I wish everyone would stop blaming him. Leia was pissed. I think she would have sent Poe out past the outer rim if she'd had her way."

"Did you two not use contraceptives?" she asked.

"That was kind of my bad. They always told us that we were sterilized. It turns out they just were giving us temporary shots instead. Poe believed me though. And, well, you can see how that turned out."

"I definitely can. How many of them are there in there? Three? Five?" Rey hadn't seen many pregnant people in her life, but he was definitely larger than he should be.

"Just two. You can touch my stomach if you want," he said already pulling his shirt up.

"Wow," she said. "Is that entirely baby? They're huge. When are you due?"

"Two days ago. Poe's mission was delayed. Doctor Ki says they're healthy and will be fine waiting a few more days to be induced. Poe should be back by tomorrow, and then Juju and Julian are coming out."

"Juju?" Rey asked, trying to keep the judgement from her voice.

"Yeah," Finn rubbed the back of his head, "Poe said I had to name one of them. I couldn't think of anything that sounded good with Julian though. So I just took the first bit and repeated it. He says it's a great name and that it's totally my choice, but I kind of think it sounds silly."

Rey nodded, "I felt the force telling me to come back. Now I know why. Let's go to a terminal and pull up a naming registrar. My godchild is going to get the best name in the galaxy."

I have no words to describe how cute this is. XD
The idea that the stolen kids are told/are actually sterilised is heartbreaking. T.T Poor babies.
