Re: OT3 or gen. Poe takes one for the team. [dubcon/noncon]

I think I would prefer they didn't see everything, but maybe heard it? If after they realise what kind of deal Poe is making he's hauled out to an outside corridor or something? I like the idea of his state after being much more indicative of what actually happened. But I would enjoy anything inspired by the prompt so if you're happier to take it in a different direction, I wouldn't be upset lol. Thank you ^.^

[FILL] Poe takes one for the team. [dubcon/noncon]

(Anonymous) 2015-12-25 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
(OP I don't know if this was what you were looking for but here you go. TW warnings in effect so please everyone, tread carefully.)

Veena 5 is a small, inconsequential planet, its lush, forested jungle covered by a perpetual veil of silver mist. They had received intelligence that there was information vital to the resistance there, and so Rey had taken Finn and Poe Dameron out to the small, green world to try and recover it. It was supposed to have been a quick mission, just in and out, grab the intel and go back to analyze it.

Instead, they’d found themselves trapped in a tractor beam, being pulled down to the jungle below faster than Rey and Poe could pull them up.

The Falcon had smashed through the trees, down through the canopy and into the dense jungle floor. The ship had shuddered and shook; they’d buckled in at nearly the last minute, bracing for impact, fearing the worst.

The crash was not the worst.

Veenans, they discovered, were tall, elegant beings. At least seven feet, and leanly muscled. Smooth horns curled back from their temples, over their smallish ears. Their wide, doe eyes were curious, almost friendly; the spears and blasters in their hands were not.

One of the Veenans spoke, gesturing to the three of them as they clambered out of the Falcon, which was still steaming behind them. Rey looked up at them with poorly-concealed wonder; it made sense that a species which favored a rainy climate had never made their way to a place like Jakku, but she had dealt with bigger, broader species. They looked like runners, bare-chested and as green as grass. Surely, she reasoned, if there was information vital to the resistance here, then the Veenans would help them fix their ship.

Finn came to stand beside her. Rey glanced over at him, and realized that instead of curious, he looked petrified. “What is it?”

But before Finn could speak, the Veenans fired on them. Rey took a hit right in the shoulder—a stunning hit, but it stung nonetheless. Finn clung to her, taking three hits before falling to his knees, eyes fixed.

“No!” It was Poe who fell last, mud soaking into his pants as he lay, immobilized, on the jungle floor. The rain misted his face, clung to his hair and mouth, but he couldn’t raise a hand to wipe it away, couldn’t struggle as the beings lifted him and his friends up, carrying them off. He was conscious as they moved them, and Rey and Finn must’ve still been awake, too, because as soon as their captors threw them into a rock-hewn cell, they both started struggling against the stun.

It was Rey who woke first. “What… what do they want with us?”

Poe couldn’t answer.

The Veenans stood outside of the cell, watching through the force-field as the humans struggled to shake off the effects of the stun. Their language sounded mostly like clicks and purrs, chirps that sounded amused and a little playful; Rey was reminded of the way vendors in the Jakku market would tease and coax out the two-day womp rats from their hiding places. Holding them in the light before their eyes were even opened always did seem cruel. The thought of being captured, kept like a pet, was revolting—and yet when she reached out with her tentative Force senses, she felt only amusement.

Amusement and… interest? No, that’s not right, more like—

Rey’s eyes went wide. “We have to get out of here.”

Poe looked down at Finn, who still lay on the ground, alert but unresponsive. He nodded, and then met Rey’s eyes. “I… know a little, of what they’re saying. Let me try and talk to them, all right?”

Rey nodded at this, and crouched beside Finn, touching the sides of his face gently, trying to wake him, or at the very least, reassure him.

One of the Veenans stepped forward, parting through the force field as easily as passing under a stream of falling water. It tilted its head, watching them, seemingly amused. And then it spoke—although Rey could not tell what it meant.

Poe, it seemed, did. Or at least, he gathered the general idea—he straightened up, standing between the Veenan and Rey and Finn on the ground. “We are here from the Resistance. We were looking for information, but our ship, it—“

The creature raised its hand, touching Poe’s face. It was a gentle touch, a parody of what Rey had been doing to Finn. Poe didn’t move as the Veenan trailed its long, dextrous fingers down the edge of his jawline, into the collar of his shirt. Then the Veenan seemed to inhale, and Rey watched in disgust and surprise as its other hand moved to cup Poe through his trousers.

All around her, the Force seemed to ripple and pulse. Rey realized, belatedly, that she could sense them, sense these creatures—formless and vague though it was, their intent was unmistakable.

“Poe—“ Her voice cracked as she spoke.

But Poe turned to glance back at her, a smile on his face. “It’s all right. Let me try and talk to them.”

Poe wasn’t Force-sensitive, but she felt, in that moment, as he struggled to conceal his fear. Rey nodded, and gave him the dignity of privacy. Maybe she had been wrong. Maybe there was enough about the Veenans they didn’t know.

Poe turned his face back up to the Veenan who stood before him. “I will go with you and… negotiate.”

The Veenan nodded. And without another sound, it pulled him through the veil.

//

“Finn…” Rey whispered as darkness fell around them. “Finn, please, wake up…”

Finn groaned, struggling against the effects of three solid stun hits. He had been awake, mostly, the whole time, but was disoriented as he came to on the floor of the cell.

“What… what happened?” He groaned, rubbing at the spot on his side where one of the blasts had hit. “Where’s Poe?”

Rey bit her lip, her expression stricken. “They captured us, and they took him to negotiate.”

“S’allright then…” Finn said, wincing. “How much damage did the ship take on?”

Rey didn’t answer. She closed her eyes, listening to something only she could hear. Not for the first time Finn wished he, too, could sense the Force as easily as she could. Finn tried, but he was exhausted, and it was like straining to hear something through syrup. He gave up, and turned on his side to look around the cell.

It was smallish, barely two meters wide, but four meters tall. Finn supposed that made sense, given the size and shape of their captors. He pushed his hand against the force-field, winced and drew back sharply as it stung, and shook his hand out, still looking around the room.

Rey hadn’t moved from her spot on the floor.

Finn went back to her, crouching down to look at the tears coursing down her cheeks.

“Hey, hey… it’s all right.” He said gently. “We’re gonna get out of here, yeah?”

But Rey shook her head, brow creasing with strain. Her eyes were still shut.

“What is it?” Finn said. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?”

Rey tried to speak, but nothing more than a sob came out. And then, as if to answer her cry, Finn heard an unearthly sound pierce the stillness of the forest. It was like a wounded animal, high-pitched, raw and terrified. Some kind of tortured creature, enduring unbearable suffering. The hairs on the back of Finn’s neck went up, and he looked through the force-field, trying to see what had made the noise.

“No… no…” Rey was moaning. “Please, no…”

The noise came again. Finn gripped her arms, kneeling before her, searching her face. “Rey, what—“

The creature—No, the man—screamed.

“Poe…” Finn said softly. “Oh you have got to be kriffing kidding me, no…”

She can sense him, Finn realized. She can feel him, feel everything, and he’s… he’s…

“You can’t stop it, you can’t make them stop.” Rey sobbed against his shoulder. “This is their payment.”

He never asked if this is was a price we were willing to pay. And Finn clutches her close to his chest, tries to focus on his breathing, in and out, in and out. Rey doesn’t speak again for a long, long time.

//

It seems to take forever for them to… to finish. But at last, Finn sees movement through the force-field, and a pair of Veenans half-drag, half-carry Poe forward. He’s got his clothing on, and it’s not even ripped or torn. But there’s a cut in his lip, and when he smiles at them, shaky and wide-eyed, Finn can see that there’s blood in his mouth.

How long, Finn wonders, did Poe try and bear it? How long did he muffle his screams? Finn realizes that Poe’s expression, his forced casual stance, all of it, it means that Poe hadn’t wanted them to know. Poe looks down at Rey on the ground, worry creasing his features. Finn doesn’t know how to tell him the truth, and so he doesn’t.

“The repairs have been completed.” Poe says. His voice is hoarse. Finn doesn’t say a word. “We’re… we’re free to leave.”

The tension is thick in the air as the Veenans disable the force-field. Finn helps Rey to her feet, loops her arm around his shoulders and follows them down the stairs, out of the compound. Finn considers making a joke about having someone else working on the Falcon, but Rey is so still and quiet in his arms, and Poe is barely hiding his limp, and he just wants to get the hell off this planet as quickly as possible. Once they make their way up the boarding ramp, Rey pulls gently away from him, heads to the cockpit. Poe, normally, would follow her, but he just leans against the wall as the ramp comes up, and the engines come online.

“Poe…” Finn starts to say, but the other man shakes his head.

“It’s all right.” He says.

It is not all right.

Finn leaves him there, because what can he do? He goes to the cockpit and finds Rey silent and focused, going through the manual lift-off procedures. For a breathless moment, Finn feels the engines shudder, and he thinks the tractor beam has engaged once more. But then the Falcon roars to life, and Rey punches it, and they’re out of the planet’s atmosphere, staring into the stars.

She sets the coordinates, settles the ship on autopilot, and then pushes up out of the chair and grabs Finn’s hand.

He understands. He can’t feel what she feels but he understands where they need to be right now.

They find Poe laying on one of the benches in the common room. His arm is slung over his face, and his knees are pulled into his chest. Rey goes to him, touches him on his arm gently, and just waits. Finally, Poe relaxes. Finn moves forward, touches his boots, unlaces them gently and pulls them off. Socks, too. Rey works at Poe’s waist and unclasps the trousers gently, so gently. It takes two of them to get them off of him, and when they do, Finn feels nauseous at what he sees.

He and Rey share a meaningful look.

He goes and gets the medkit.
