Poe is open to doing pretty much anything with pretty much anyone around base (either in a totally happy, healthy way or if you prefer maybe as self-destructive/coping mechanism behaviour) and doesn't care who knows it.

Finn comes from an environment where sex is used almost exclusively as an instrument of power/domination and only has negative experiences.

Cue a whole lot of Finn being what he views as completely reasonably protective of his good, kind friend who should not be hurt at all ever, and what everyone else views as Finn being the most jealously possessive suitor the base has ever seen.

Ok hear me out--I'd like to fill this maybe (especially since I could also fill the "Poe has sex as an unhealthy coping mechanism" prompt and some more plot or something idk there's probably gonna be h/c) but is it okay if it stays gen? As in, they really are "just" friends? Maybe it could be seen as pre-slash, but the thing is that Finn has his baggage when it comes to sex and relationships, and so does Poe, and friendship would work better for what I'm planning (especially since I'm not a shipper/romance writer)...anyway. Thoughts? Anything you really want to see or really don't? I don't generally write sex but I'm going to try (though it'll be angsty and won't involve Finn) and I won't write explicit or sexualized non-com, but...

And there would be implications of and references to past non-con, just not anything explicit or sexualized like I said. Maybe I could also mix it with the prompt where Finn thinks that he owes Poe sex...

OP here! Sorry I am so horribly slow to respond - I kinda maybe lost my own prompt. It would be amazing as gen fic, that's no problem! Everything you describe in your potential fill sounds amazing, and of course no pressure but I would adore it :)
