OP here: I actually think Poe would really appreciate the Falcon, especially from a pilot's perspective and because he's probably heard stories involving it from his parents. I think he'd be really excited to fly it.

To be honest, I think he'd be in awe of Han, but like that awe wouldn't even come close to comparing to his idolization of Leia. Like, a first meeting would be all, "oh wow it's Han Solo AND OMFG IS THAT GENERAL ORGANA BRB GOTTA GO MEET HER SHE'S MY HERO"
