They still have texting in TFA. One day, Han's sexting Leia and accidentally sends it to Luke, who's in his self-imposed exile. Luke is still burdened with guilt, but upon getting this text from Han, decides to come back because his brother-in-law obviously has some feelings for him that they need to talk about.

Oscar Isaac wanted to talk about gender and said it's a fluid thing, so I wanted to see it applied to Poe because yes. So I'm thinking genderfluid!Poe Dameron, trans man!Poe Dameron of genderneutral!Poe (or whatever gender you prefer, I just don't want him to be a cis man)

then maybe kylo ren found out about that when he broke into Poe's mind and tortured xe/he/them with the wrong pronouns and by saying xe/he/them is a freak for feeling this way and after Poe's rescued, xe/he/them tries to not think about it, but ends up really depressed.

Cue Finn (and Rey) not understanding what's happening to Poe, but being really worried. So someone sits them down to explain the situation (maybe Leia? or Jess Pava/Snap/Poe's pilots buddies?) and they try their hardest to comfort Poe, by showing xym/him/them nothing but love and acceptance and eventually everything's okay again

On Poe's home planet, the only person who can change a person's name (besides him/herself) is that person's spouse. In other words, someone accepting a new name from another person is basically saying "I Do". Poe, despite his cockiness in most areas, is insecure when it comes to romance. After Finn saved Poe,Poe immediately developed a crush on Finn but was too shy to openly flirt. Since Poe knew that not all planets have this custom, he used the "I'll call you Finn" as a type of secret confession. So he could pretend that Finn likes him back.

Post TFA, Poe and Finn grow closer, but Poe is still too scared to tell Finn that he sees him as more than just a friend. So, he goes on, just fantasizing about their relationship being more. Then, one day, Finn's telling someone (Leia, Han in an au where he doesn't die, other friend) about how he and Poe met and that person, knowing the customs of Poe's planet, realizes that a) Poe has a crush on Finn and b) Poe's too shy to tell Finn. So, that person just happens to start telling Finn about Poe and Poe's planets and certain customs and casually mentions the marriage custom. Of course Finn realizes right away that Poe was basically asking him to marry him during the escape and confronts Poe about his feelings.

Bonus for a happy ending, but that's up to the filler.

But, yeah, I could totally go for Han mis-sending a holopad projection or something else Star Wars-y. Oh, what if it's video? Like 2 minutes of him jerking off and then it ends with him turning to the camera, panting and spent, and going, "Now you send me yours."

Luke, like an idiot, sends a video back, and then Leia has to explain to a bunch of lowly Resistance interns why they have to watch her brother jerking off on infinite loop while trying to identify what planet is in the background.

Poe and Finn are close friends. Good buddies. They share a room, and Poe answers every question Finn puts to him about the resistance or life generally.

The only things Poe avoids are talk on relationships/sex because he thinks Finn is young and naive and he doesn't want to spoil that.

Finn gets tired of it and calls Poe out.

The Storm Troopers were never given the talk. Relationships were distractions, so any talk of sex and romance were avoided at all costs. Of course, as they weren't kept in a cell all the time, they knew what sex was and knew that other people loved each other and got married, but the idea never really applied to them so it was more of just a concept.

Post TFA, Finn is out from under the First Order's thumb and starting to experience what life is. Some things are easy to adjust to, others are hard. The hardest thing to get used to is that it's okay to fall in love. One day, Poe tells Finn that he cares for him as more than a friend and Finn starts to cry. When Poe asks what's wrong, Finn tells him that he loves Poe, too, and that terrifies him because it's something that was never allowed and Finn's never experienced it. Lots of h/c ensues.

This is just so bad dirty wrong but also SO GOOD. Why do you guys gotta make me ship such weird stuff?

One of the first things I thought during the Millennium Falcon scene was 'man I can't wait for smut of these two'... Soo seconded

Since they arrived at the resistance base, Finn and Rey have followed Poe around like puppies, asking questions, learning the ropes, and he's been happy to teach them. Poe keeps them safe, away from unsavoury groups and places, and sticks with them when they need support in official settings too.

Ahhh no, this has ignited a flame inside and the only thing that will quench it is MORE Rey/Luke!

It's been a few months. Rey has come back from training with Luke and Finn has awoken up and gone through healing in therapy. Hanging out with Poe and his buddies and going on missions have given them confidence that they are a part of something, though the leers that Rey and Finn keep getting do set them on edge, fearing they aren't wanted as part of the team. And when they voice their concerns, Poe's just laughs softly, saying it's probably not what they think.

After another hair-raising mission where Rey and Finn nearly get themselves killed again, they are approached by several members of the squad to attend some festivities. Poe is really encouraging them to go.

Turns out the resistance pilots and others (male/female, human/alien) tend to have orgies. A good bonding experience to affirm their connection, especially after big missions where people are lost or almost lost. They've wanted the badass jedi girl and the adorable brave ex-stormtrooper, but being inexperienced, no one was brave enough to ask. But due to Poe's insistence and desire, they decide tonight is good enough.

Bonus:

Finn and Rey have to continually make eye contact to make sure the other is ok.

Poe leads instructions to whomever chooses to have relations with either Rey or Finn because even though this ends when they turn in, he plans to have something with Finn and Rey afterwards.

Finn and Poe are just friends. But everyone in the Resistance thinks they're something more. Of course, the two are also oblivious to what everyone thinks.

I didn't know I needed this until I read it but I definitely need this. Someone write this pleeeeeease!

They don't have alcohol in the First Order, and Finn finds out that he really likes it.

What follows is a crucial memo to be effective immediately with regards to activities which may be disruptive to on-base operations. Please read the order carefully. Take time to consider if your actions are in line with furthering the aims of the resistance and take motions to adjust them accordingly.

A List of Things Which You May No Longer Do

You may no longer share bunks unless specifically instructed to do so by a superior officer in the case of a shortage of facilities.

This includes full-size bunks which “were made for two, anyways, General”.

This also includes bunks in barracks which appear to be otherwise empty at the time of your occupancy.

This applies to all personnel, including those who may otherwise have sway due to rank or social status among the troops, up to and including ace pilots.

You may no longer employ schemes to “conserve water” with your fellow personnel when using the communal ‘freshers unless specifically instructed to do so by a superior officer in the event of a shortage of supplies.

This rule applies also to the private ‘freshers.

You may no longer override the unlocked setting on doors of supply cabinets or maintenance corridors.

You may no longer use supply cabinets or maintenance corridors as areas for socialization with fellow personnel. Public areas have been provided for this specific purpose and the use of “socialization” as an excuse for your presence in these semi-private facilities is subject to an official infraction.

You may no longer use official Resistance equipment such as X-Wings, freighters, or speeders as areas for socialization with fellow personnel.

This rule applies to mechanics, both on and off-duty.

This rule especially applies to pilots, both on and off-duty.

You may no longer use Resistance-issue holopads for the transmission or reception of private, unscreened messages.

This rule incurs a double-penalty when broken during a personnel meeting.

This rule incurs a triple-penalty when the messages are found to be obscene by the commanding officer issuing the infraction or by General Organa.

You may no longer utilize connections of or sensitivies to the Force as a method of under-the-table communication unless given leave to do so by a superior officer.

This rule incurs a quadruple-penalty when broken during a personnel meeting involving any participant.

General Organa would like to remind the Resistance that, although she is not a Jedi Knight like some personnel, she can sense the passing of feeling through the Force and can sometimes decipher its meaning. So, yes, she did sense that, and she would rather just forget about it.

You may no longer use bunks, barracks, or private quarters for “training purposes.”

You may no longer use bunks, barracks, or private quarters for “paired meditation exercises.”

You may no longer use communal or private ‘freshers for “physical conditioning” or “sensory resistance training.”

You may no longer claim salvage for personal use without approval from a superior officer.

This goes doubly for micro engines and battery packs. We know what you are doing with them, and General Organa would encourage you to think how they might be made better use of by the maintenance division as well as remind you that this is what stipends are for.

On a related note: you are no longer permitted to take supplies from the medical bay without signed permission from the chief medical officer. This includes: ointments, oils, salves, rubber gloves, medical tape, silicone, petroleum jelly, and any of the other supplies on which we have been running unexpectedly short.

General maintenance reports will no longer be accepted for incidents without at least three corroborating accounts of what happened, as both one and two accounts have been found to be insufficient. If you cannot explain it to your general’s satisfaction, you will have to fix it yourself and will responsible for the expense.

You are no longer permitted to practice “advanced Force techniques” outside of the designated Jedi training quarters.

You are no longer permitted to practice “advanced Force techniques” within the designated Jedi training quarters without supervision from Master Skywalker or a superior officer assigned by General Organa.

Maintenance reports filed as the result of practicing “advanced Force techniques” will no longer be answered, period. Yes, this includes the damage to the bunk. No, we will not be fixing it, and General Organa thinks the change should give a certain Jedi Knight errant the opportunity to meditate on his choices.

The use of droids to ferry materials to other personnel which do not pertain explicitly to Resistance missions is now prohibited. That is not the intended use for the BB unit’s storage compartments and you know it.

Specifics regarding whose responsibility it is to clean the cab of your craft are shifting. Those notified by Sergeant Antilles should be aware that maintenance is no longer responsible for keeping your craft clean due to too many infractions for proper use, complaints, or both. (Please note that you may find, attached, a list of specific grievances drafted by the maintenance department. If you have been notified by the chief of engineering, the document is mandatory reading. However, it is highly encouraged that all personnel read the report as a lesson in what not to do.)

Lastly, General Organa would like to remind you that the Millenium Falcon is both a Resistance asset and quasi-historical artifact. Its maintenance and treatment are of the utmost importance to many from both a practical and morale standpoint. However, if you are still tempted to break protocol on the vessel, General Organa reminds you that its captain’s quarters have been around for many years and have been put to much use, at one time by General Organa herself. It is a place that holds many memories and many stories, some which are appropriate to be repeated at dinner in the mess and some which are not.

This also applies to the Falcon’s cockpit.
