FILL - Re: Kylo/Hux: Poison

(Anonymous) 2020-05-02 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)

Toxic

General Armitage Hux entered the audience chambers and knelt waiting on Snoke to appear. He heard the buzz of the hologram and ducked his head a bit more, before saying, “Supreme Leader…” Hux broke off as he was hauled up off his knees and was hauled up to be eye level with a very unhappy Snoke.

“I can see your mind, I can see every thought there!” Snoke said, “I know what you and my apprentice have been getting up to when the pair of you think I am not looking!” Snoke gave the general a shake. “You have already lost Starkiller Base and it is only a long acquaintance with your father and his value to the Order that keeps you alive!” He dropped Hux.

It was a hard landing but he rolled to take the brunt of the impact, but the air was still knocked out of his lungs.

Snoke waited until Hux was paying attention again, “My apprentice has failed me for the last time. In your cabin, in a drawer in your refresher is a poison, swift and deadly. You will give it to Kylo Ren. You have twenty-six hours to prove that you are more loyal to the First Order than the man you have taken as a lover.”

*

“Tage?” Kylo could tell something was up with Hux, but ever since they had entered a more intimate phase of their relationship, he had not probed Hux’s mind. “Something’s up with you.”

“Minutia.” Hux said, preparing one of Kylo’s favorite drinks, a sickly-sweet monstrosity. He liked his drinks plainer, neat and on the rocks. He turned and nearly dropped both glasses.

“Not thinking of minutia now, are you, Tage?” Kylo said, now sprawled naked over his lover’s bed.

Despite everything, Hux had to smile. “No, not anymore.” He handed the drink to him and they tapped glasses, and both drank deeply, and when Kylo went to toss the empty glass Hux barked, “Oh hell no!”

Kylo let go of the glass anyway and it floated to a safe landing on a nearby shelf. “You’re going to complain about the lack of a coaster now aren’t you.”

Hux sat his glass down on a nearby coaster and stripped off his clothes as he walked over to his bed, “I’ll give you a pass tonight.” He said, straddling Kylo, taking Kylo’s face in his hands, rubbing their cocks together.

“How generous of you.” He said, rubbing Hux’s nose with his, pressing their foreheads together. It was part of the Arkanis traditions Hux had grown up with. Hux had realized that was when Kylo loved and respected him when he did the research on what was such a minor detail. He pulled Kylo into an embrace to place kisses on Kylo’s neck, enjoying the man’s moans.

Suddenly Kylo screamed in pain and arched his back. Hux was startled, but hung onto the other man, bringing him into an embrace, kissing the scarred cheek, whispering into Kylo’s ear. “I’m sorry, my love. Don’t fight it. It’ll be over soon. Please forgive me.” Hux broke into sobs.

“Clear.” Kylo ground out, then punched Hux in the shoulder, “Was it clear?!”

Hux ran his hand through Kylo’s hair. “Clear and odorless.”

Kylo took in a deep breath catching the scent of Hux’s favorite drink with his favorite addition of fruity bitters. Kylo focused on the minibar and brought the bitters to his hand. Hux watched as he ripped the cap off with his teeth and chugged the remaining three quarters of the bottle. Then closed his eyes and asked, “How much?”

“About a spoonful.” He continued to hold Kylo, who kept his breathing even, occasionally giving a wheeze, but his breathing evened out and Hux could feel his heartbeat slowing, but not stopping.

Hux continued to hold Kylo, gently rocking him. Kylo asked, “Snoke ordered my death.”

“Yes.”

“Are you crying?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Because I love you, you big idiot.”

Kylo gave Hux’s arm a squeeze, “I know.” A long pause and then asked, “Did Snoke give you the poison?”

“He told me where it would be in my quarters.”

Kylo slid down to look up at Hux’s teary face, “Did he mention your father at any point, I see he did.”

“Back to reading my mind?”

“No, your face clenches when your father, just like that, is mentioned.” He reached up and touched Hux’s face, before sitting up, slowly.

“What are you doing?”

“Getting dressed.”

Hux hung his head, resigned he asked, “Where are you going?”

Kylo was fighting with his undershirt then answered, “To confront your father, as powerful as Snoke is he can’t conjure up a vial of poison at a distance.” Kylo sat to put his boots on. “It’s not the first time Snoke has tried to kill me.” He got up slowly.

“Wait, I’ll go with you.”

Kylo looked at Hux, then sat back down to wait.

Brendol Hux looked up as his son and Kylo Ren entered the visitor’s cabin where he was staying. He checked the chronometer and realized his son had less than two hours on his deadline.

“Can you at least be subtle about checking the clock?” Kylo said, stopping a few steps inside the door, calling a chair to him to sit in.

“I did not invite you to sit.”

“Sorry, I just finished transmuting deadly poison into harmlessness, takes a toll on a body.”

“You what?” Brendol sneered, “What kind of nonsense is that?”

“Did you poison him? By enlisting the Supreme Leader’s help?” Hux asked unable to hold in his anger.

Brendol looked at his son, “I called in a favor, one of the few I have left to remove one of the blockages to your career progress.” Brendol sneered at Kylo who was sitting sideways on the chair so he could rest his side against the back of the chair. “I warned you about pursuing a relationship with an indolent commoner like him.”

“Not a commoner.” Kylo said. “That trick with the poison I mentioned? Only passed down through royal families. If you dislike your son’s lover, could you just write a nasty note instead of a third-party poisoning?”

Brendol sneered, “He can do better than a common born lout.”

“As my mother once said, unfortunately, it hurts all three of my feelings.” he wobbled to his feet, Hux supposed using the Force to do so. “Good day gentleman.” Kylo paused to press his forehead against Hux’s before leaving.
Hux looked at his father for a long moment. “Please stop trying to help me. Let me chart my own course.” He left the cabin and didn’t look back.

FILL - Re: Rey/Kylo Ren, tentacles, erotic dreaming

[personal profile] vilya_mariposa 2020-05-23 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Kylo Ren was walking through the jungle, tracing the smell of desert flowers, a scent he associated with Rey, his scavenger. He had taken the helmet off to better track her. He tracked the scent to the entrance to a grotto, which he entered without hesitation.

There was a clear and inviting pool in the center of the grotto. He contemplated a short swim, to clear his head, and to clean up after the long sweaty trek through the jungle. He quickly stripped and eased into the pool.

He swam the length twice and treaded water while he debated getting out.

“Ben.” Rey’s voice whispered from somewhere around him. He spun in place to try and pin down the location when something wrapped around his ankle and pulled him down. He struggled not to panic as he fought against the grip of the tentacle, but one of his arms was grabbed.

The tentacle that grabbed his arm yanked him clear of the water’s surface. He struggled against the tentacles, one holding his arm, one holding his leg.

Other tentacles began emerging from both the trees above and the water below and he increased his struggles, trying to call his lightsaber. Then a tentacle sprayed a sickly-sweet thick liquid onto his face. He flinched and missed most of the spray, but some still hit his vulnerable membranes and he felt most of the fight go out of him.

He still squirmed when some slimy tentacles felt their way up his leg and coiled around his limp cock. Other tentacles cradled his head, sliding around until about a dozen thin tentacles began sliding into his mouth, making him cough and gag a bit and muffle the cry he made as three or four slender tentacles began sliding their way into his ass.

Kylo struggled, feeling violated and then took a deep breath to shout in rage. His nose and mouth were filled with the scent he associated with Rey and he calmed down as the tentacles inside of him began pulsing and pushing against his prostate, making him flush with arousal. He moaned as the tentacles continued stroking his cock. They filled his mouth with a gentle pressure, backing off when he choked or gagged.

He moaned as he felt himself being opened and thrust his hips as the pressure on his cock intensified. He cried out as a thick tentacle he had not seen pushed into his ass. All the tentacles began tightening and relaxing in a pattern and them the one deep inside of him released a smooth thick liquid. The slender ones in his mouth also released a liquid. The one on his cock gave a final firm squeeze sending Kylo over the edge into an intense orgasm that had him blacking out.

Rey sat up in her bunk, panting, feeling the dampness of arousal between her legs and her heart pounding at the image of the beautiful man losing control. She shook her head and laid back down, enjoying an afterglow that she did not do any work for.

Kylo sat up in his bed panting. He was covered in sweat and a glance downward confirmed he had indeed come from the most bizarre dream he had ever had in his life.

FILL - Re: Reylo, bodyswitch

(Anonymous) 2020-09-12 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)

The sound of the engines of the Millenium Falcon were the most comforting noise in the universe as far as he was concerned, and he was entitled to sleep in occasionally. Kylo felt nothing but safety and comfort. He laid still to enjoy the feeling then he remembered the previous night.

“You don’t know anything about me!”
“Come to me and I will show you.”

In that instant Kylo knew it was not his father’s heart that was the problem, it was his damn mouth.

He reached up to push his hair back and realized he and Rey were in way over either of their heads. He cautiously ran his hands down her tiny frame with her small pert breasts. He ran a hand over the buns in her hair and softly swore.

A cursory knock was followed by the traitor sticking his head in the cabin. “Hey Rey, we’ll be back at base in a couple of hours.”

“Okay.” Kylo marveled at how sweet her voice was.

“I could warm up some rations, we could watch Poe and Chewie play dejarik.”

Kylo was annoyed but knew he could not push the traitor out of an airlock. And if he recalled correctly most of the airlocks were jammed on the Falcon, piece of junk it was. “I’ll be there in a few.” Then he Force pushed the traitor out of the cabin and closed the door. “Oh Rey, what has happened?”

*

Rey woke up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room. She tried to roll to her feet but wound up on the floor in a tangle of bedsheets and limbs. She huffed and puffed then realized she recognized the warm spicy scent as belonging to Ben…

She rolled onto her back and patted her body down. She found his impressive torso and stopped herself. Then she remembered their argument the night before.

“You don’t know anything about me!”
“Come to me and I will show you.”

“Oh kriff.”

There was the sound of an outer door opening and an arrogant voice proclaiming it was his duty to check on the supreme leader.

General Hux and a Knight of Ren entered, “Leader Ren, are you ill?”

Rey did not like how gleeful Hux sounded at the prospect. “Just a nightmare.” Rey marveled at how his voice rumbled through his torso. “I need to meditate on it, leave me, please.”

Hux looked skeptical but muttered. “If you say so, Leader Ren.”

“Yes, Master.” The knight said and none too gently escorted Hux from the room.

*

Kylo walked down the ramp, frantically seeking a way to avoid everyone until he could use the Force to learn the layout of the base. The deep dark woods called to him and he handed Rey’s pack to the traitor, “Why don’t you drop this in my room. I’m going for a run.”

The run was invigorating. There were a few tense seconds when a jump was made, the landing was a bit short and he hung there for a few seconds confused about not making that jump, then remembered she was considerably shorter than he was. The probe droid barely even made an impression. He tested the advantages of her smaller frame by making it through gaps in the trees he would not have normally tried.

He was making his way back to base and he saw a familiar figure. “General.”

Leia stared at him. Her eyes probing but the rest of her face carefully neutral. She kept her body upright and poised for movement or action.

“Is there something wrong?”

Leia continued to stare. He was familiar with this maneuver of hers and knew she was waiting for a spontaneous confession, the unnerving silence better than any physical abuse.

“I think I should head back to my room, General.”

Leia let him get a few steps away then he found himself dragged backward to hover in the air before Leia, then rotated upside down, a position she damn well knew he hated.

“You think I would be fooled?” she floated him closer. “You think I can’t see through you? Really, Ben Organa Solo?”

“I go by Kylo now, can I be right side up? I think this is her body telling me it’s about to vomit.”

Leia let him down, and he knelt in front of her, both trying to show respect to Leia, and to settle Rey’s stomach.

Leia sat on a log and patted it. Kylo got up and came to sit next to her. He told her everything, beginning in the woods on Takodana, and ending with their argument the previous evening.

At some point Leia had reached out and he took her hands. He had finished but he was still holding his mother’s hands.

“Maybe a perusal of the ancient texts will provide some answers. I can keep people off you for a next day or so, but you will have to keep up a busy training regime as a cover.”

“I can do that.”

“I’ll walk you back to her rooms, pointing out the cafeteria, a room I can’t seem to keep her out of.”

“I’ve noticed. I accused her of spending extra time in the cafeteria with her friends, what?”

“You called her fat?”

“I said something like ‘you have filled out nicely’… are you laughing at me? Those interrogation chairs have a scale in them.”

“I knew that.” Leia took a few seconds to compose herself. “Is there anything else you need, right away?”

He shifted. “She needs better fitting underthings.” He shifted a bit more, “I noticed on the run that these don’t fit her filled out physique comfortably.”

Leia gave their joined hands a squeeze, “Then let’s stop by my quarters first. She can’t complain if they’re already on.”

Kylo snorted, then got up and helped Leia to her feet. “You obviously haven’t fired her thrusters up.”

Leia smiled then paused, “Have you thought about the worst-case scenario?”

“You get that daughter you always wanted.” Kylo caught the glare, “Rey is a survivor, all she has to do is stalk around, glower, perhaps throw a tantrum. She will be fine. I have to believe that.”

*

Rey entered the Night Buzzard and looked for the Knights. She sensed the attack too late and was sent to the ground by a shock stick.

“Who are you and what have you done with our Master’s soul?”

Staying on the ground Rey answered, “His soul and mine have swapped places,” she hesitated but the stick was raised menacingly, “I am Rey.”

The stick lowered and one of the knights said, “He wanted her body.”

“Shut up, Kuruk.” There was stress in the leader’s voice that Rey realized was fighting laughter.

“You think this is funny?” She asked the Knight.

“That man attracts trouble and no, technically not funny, but… ahem.” Another pause, “There’s humor in it. I am Vicrul.” A hand was offered.

Rey took the hand accepted the help up.

*

Kylo studied the tray. The pieces were laid out just like the book suggested, but it was lacking some key components. He held a hand over the tray and could feel the essence of her on the incomplete lightsaber. He smiled.

The droid, BB8, warbled a question. “Yes, BB8, we’ll go for a run after I fix this mynock nest.” He looked at the sad scraggly hairbrush and sensed it had some deep sentiment for her. He got all the tangles out and started working on the buns which were not as straightforward as they seemed.

There was a knock at the door and Kylo sensed it was the traitor and he ignored it. “I’ll be out in a minute!” He finished the top bun and frowned at the sloppiness of it. He pulled it out and began to try again.

“Rey!”

Kylo fought with the bun and was finally happy with the result. “Kinda busy!” which was not untrue. Finally he got the hang of the buns for the second and third buns. Then Finn knocked again.

“Rey, I have to talk to you!”

“I’ve got BB8 with me, we were going to run the course.” He called, then softer, “Can’t take a hint?”

“Please, Rey?”

Kylo opened the door and asked, “BB8, please wait for me.”

Finn closed the door and paced back and forth, “I’ve been thinking a lot about what Salem said about grand and meaningful gestures.”

Kylo grabbed the legacy lightsaber and prompted, “And?”

“We should get married!”

Kylo felt white hot rage surge though him. Small objects and the furniture began trembling. How dare he offer marriage as a stunt when Kylo had asked from the heart? Kylo loved Rey! She was the other half of his soul! He managed a mostly calm, “No.” as he struggled to control his temper.

“Hear me out, we get married and show Ren…”

“I am not getting married as a grand gesture!” Kylo was still mad, but he could keep an even tone, difficult when he was still so angry. “And second, that is not a man you want angry at you. Have you not heard of his legendary temper tantrums? Do you really want to cause that on purpose?”

“We’d show him that he can’t have you.”

Kylo’s anger mutated from a white hot jealous rage to a different kind of anger, “I am going for a run.” He went to push past Finn.

“I just want to protect you!”

“I can take care of myself.”

*

Rey regretted ever accusing Ben of being impatient. She did the best she could to stay awake and not fidget while the meeting droned on and on. She wondered if any of this was important on any level to anyone.

Between his meticulous calendar and the knowledge the Knights shared with her she knew she could handle this until she was able to either contact Ben or figure out what had gone wrong.

There was one more meeting on the calendar and then she could retire to his quarters. She and Vicrul walked in and Rey was very proud of not stumbling in shock.

General Krell stood up straighter, “Leader Ren, this is Governor Salem, he says he has a gift for you.” He gestured to the container on the table. “We’ve scanned it for traps.”

“And I told them there was no need.”

“I told him it was procedure…”

“Gentleman.” She cut them off.

The governor twisted a knob and the container unfolded like a flower showing a dimly glowing globe. “I have tricked the resistance people. I made a flowery speech about grand gestures having meaning beyond the acts themselves, and they swallowed it.”

“All of them swallowed that?” Rey asked, having not been impressed by him.

Salem chuckled, “Well it helped General Leia wasn’t there, but the rest of them swallowed every word. Please don’t touch it!” Salem closed the box, as Rey had reached for it. “It has trapped the soul of the Jedi girl in there. What walks around with the Resistance now is an empty shell.”

Rey sensed there was more, at least in Salem’s mind, “There’s more.”

Salem chuckled, “The Traitor, FN-2187? He’s in love with the Jedi girl and I encouraged him to wed her.”

Rey hoped she was maintaining a passive expression but felt a surge of high annoyance. “So you encouraged him to marry a soulless husk?” She hoped for Finn’s sake he had not asked already.

“Amusing isn’t it?”

She reached out and pulled the container off the table, flew it into her hands and said, “I thank you for the gift. General Krell, a word?”

They walked out of the room, “What does he want?”

“Protection from the Resistance…”

“That he invited in? Whatever he requests, give him a third.” She looked at the box in her hands. “And warn him any further communication with the Resistance will be seen as treachery and handled accordingly.”

Once alone in his rooms Rey sat the box on a table and opened it. She, Vicrul and Trudgen studied the globe that glowed somewhat brighter. Rey studied the report and frowned, “This is very technical.” She looked up and handed it to Trudgen who read it and finally announced in a voice full of stunned awe, “It’s faceted glass, made from superheated sand, not transparent metal. There is a kyber crystal in it.”

Vicrul and Rey looked at the knight, “Glass and kyber, that’s it?” Vicrul asked, “But it’s glowing.”

“Kyber crystals have a faint glow that gets brighter in the presence of force sensitives. Take a step back, and another, and one more.” Rey said and they watched the glow changed.

Vicrul said, “You did handle it. You’ve met that man before.”

“I suspected it had some relationship with a kyber crystal, but he only let me hold it for a few moments. It certainly didn’t suck my soul into it.”

“And because you are a powerful force user, like our Master, the crystal got excited.” Vicrul said.

“Well, I’ve used one of the visual filters on my helmet,” said Trudgen. “The glass is faceted, amplifying the feeble light of the kyber crystal.”

Rey reached out and called the globe to her hand before the others could stop her. “Oh look, just like the other night, nothing but a twinge in the Force.”

“Not swapping you back?” Trudgen asked after a few seconds.

“Nope. And even if it did what he said, I highly suspect Ben would put himself in the way.”

“Yes, he’s a noble idiot.” Vicrul said.

Rey studied the globe, then began twisting and tugging on the globe and it came apart in two. She pulled the crystal free. “Could be useful.”

*

Leia had confided portions of what Kylo had told her to Chewbacca. The thought made Kylo both nervous and comforted. Chewbacca assured him that he was dedicated to Rey’s safety and then while expressing gratitude, in Shyriiwook, Kylo sprained Rey’s vocal cords.

Dr. Kelonia urged her to learn a new language style slowly while puttering around, writing a standard message on a pad for Rey to show people so they would understand she needed to not talk for a day. She said, in a casual fashion, “Now I only know one human who speaks Shyriiwook and he told me he gargled warm liquids before and after, and as much as he could during.” She chuckled, “Of course, learning it as an infant probably gave him an advantage.”

Kylo put a thankful smile on Rey’s face, then took the pad and left, wondering how much worse the day could get.

Re: FILL - Re: Reylo, bodyswitch part 2

(Anonymous) 2020-09-12 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Kylo put a thankful smile on Rey’s face, then took the pad and left, wondering how much worse the day could get.

Kylo entered Rey’s room and tried to not talk, only covering his face with his hand. He typed out a message then tossed it to the naked man on Rey’s bed.

“That’s a good toss for not looking, how did you strain your vocal cords? Cuz we haven’t done anything to make you scream.” Finn tried to say lavaciously.

Kylo sighed and resisted the urge to tell off Dameron for giving his friend such a terrible script. He then caught sight of the tray with her lightsaber, now all disordered. He reached out and typed, “What did you do to my lightsaber?”

“That’s a neat trick.” Finn said as the pad was typed on from across the room. Kylo scowled, then whacked Finn in the head with the pad. He carefully gathered the components of the partially constructed lightsaber and bundled them in a cloth while typing a message to Finn telling him to get dressed, put the room back the way he found it and get out.

“But if I leave then we …where are you going?”

Wagering that Finn would not run across the base naked, Kylo took off at a sprint. He entered the Falcon and headed directly for a nook he had found as a child and hoped that Rey’s small frame would fit.

As he guessed, Poe and Finn searched the Falcon and walked past the nook at least four times. He only emerged after the pair left the Falcon. He returned to her bunk and laid out the lightsaber and then wandered around the ship, gathering parts to complete the weapon.

He debated long and hard about finishing the weapon but he felt the Force tugging on him to at least partially assemble it. As he worked he kept his thoughts on Rey, how much she completed him, how much he loved her.

He set the partially completed saber on a table in the cabin, then settled cross legged in the middle of the floor, closed his eyes and reached out into the Force. “Come to me, my love.” He reached for where he usually felt the connection between them, “Come to me, my love.”

Rey was lying in his bed, studying the crystal from the globe, knowing it to be nothing more than a standard kyber crytastal that had been trapped inside a fancy.

She sat up, thinking she had heard him, “Ben?” She rolled to her feet, got tangled up and barely caught herself in time. “These limbs!” She eased herself to the floor and saw something under the bed. She pulled it out, then climbed back up onto the bed to leaf through the book.

It was filled with sketches of her, running, walking, swinging a saber, working on a…

“How did you know?” she asked looking at the picture of her working on her own lightsaber. The door chimed and Rey called out, “Come in.”

Rey held up the book and Vicrul gave a huff almost too soft to make it through the vocoder on her helmet. “Are you all right, Little Sister?”

Rey shook her head at the nickname, “I have to go to him.”

Vicrul reached up and removed her helmet, “Let me show you what else we have to clean from this room. We can leave tonight.”

*

“You don’t know anything about me!”
“Come to me and I will show you.”

*

“Let’s just assume our Master has said something pithy and wrong footed and go from there.” Cardo said to the sad mirth of all the Knights.

Rey could not help but chuckle and at the questioning looks answered, “He called me fat.”

“Just remember, you are his muse for bad poetry, decent sketches…”

“Definitely not fat.” Said Kuruk.

“And so many sad songs that none of us will ever be ready to hear again.”

The knights took their leave of each other. Rey, Vicrul, and Ap’lek put their hoods up, shouldered their bags and left the ship.

“I like that one, looks fast.” Ap’lek said of a small sloop.

They pushed the drunken occupant out and Rey grumbled as she slid into the pilot’s seat. “How does he fit anywhere?”

“He’s not even sure.” Vicrul answered.

It was the middle of the nightshift when Leia walked out into the forest, Kylo and Chewbacca in tow. They heard the ship landing in the distance and Kylo began walking a little bit ahead, only pausing to make sure Chewbacca was still with Leia. He turned as the engines shut down and the ramp lowered.

Nothing about the last few days could be considered normal, both had bruises of an ill-fitting body to prove it. But they were drawn to each other and Kylo froze inches from Rey, then seeing something in her eyes, they embraced, then pulled apart a bit, and met in a firm passionate kiss.

They pulled apart and Rey wheezed a bit, softly hacking. She looked at him, “What did you do to my throat?” she hoarsely whispered.

“I left the lozenges in your pocket. I tried to speak Shyriiwook and strained a vocal cord, why are you laughing, Vicrul?”

“All you have is a myriad of bruises.”

Then he looked up as more feminine laughter filled the clearing and he mock glared at his mother, who responded, “I think you tried to forget how uncomfortable you were in adolescence.”

“No, I remember. It wasn’t easy having such short limbs these last couple of days.” Rey smacked his shoulder and pointed to her throat. “I was trying to talk to Chewie and make sure I was understood.”

They sat in the sloop, making arrangements, Leia sending out a memo. Rey tugged on Ben and led him thought the base, ignoring all the looks they were sent. Rey gave him a questioning look when he reached around her to type in a code, “I had to change your door code…” the door opened, “and it was pointless.”

Rey gave a hoarse shriek then covered her eyes. “Finn, what?”

“What’s he doing here?” Finn asked trying to sound fierce while naked.

Rey was trying to look everywhere but him, “Where’s my…?”

“On the Falcon.” Ben muttered under his breath and pulled her out of her room. “There’s places to hide on the Falcon.”

Rey picked up the mostly assembled lightsaber, “Where did you find the parts?”

He waved his hand around them, “Mostly here and there all you need is the crystal.” He brushed an errant strand of hair out of her face. She shivered and put the saber back down.

She turned and reached into his pocket, making his eyes go wide. She pulled out a small velvet pouch and opened it to show him the kyber crystal.

She set the crystal down and leaned into him. They kissed again, then they got up and moved over to a nearby bunk, not seeing anything beyond each other.

Kylo had learned in his life to take what the Force granted him as a gift. He may not have yet seduced Rey to the dark side, but he had managed to seduce her sexually. He would be lying if he said he was unhappy with that.

He had been inside her mind and knew she had grown up isolated and alone so Kylo always asked if she was all right with whatever he was doing to her. He had made only one requirement, that she get a contraceptive shot. She worried about paying for it but he promised her that they were free in his mother’s army.

Rey was open to anything he wanted to try and she was vocal and uninhibited. He had a list of things he wanted to do her, but he found himself coming back to a few favorites. He had acquired the equipment for something he wanted to try but he would suddenly get embarrassed and would default to one of their favorites.

Tonight they were kissing and undressing when Rey put her lips next to his ear, “What do you want?”

“We’re halfway there.”

Rey pulled back, her hands on his shoulders, giving them a firm squeeze. He ducked his head, expecting a lecture about being true to his true self, she would help him, and so forth and so forth. Those were not days they wound up having sex.

She lifted his head so she could meet his eyes, “There’s something you want sexually. It’s been on the tip of your tongue, but then you change your mind.”

“You sensed that?”

She leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the lips, “You picture it in your mind, almost too fast to see, but you’ve pictured it enough I finally got a good clear impression.” She pressed herself against him, feeling him get hard as her breasts pressed against his chest. “And you probably already have the apparatus, the gear you have pictured me in.”

Kylo moaned, “Oh Rey, I am weak in your sway.” He pressed kisses along her neck. He paused to look around his room, then reached out his hand and brought the case with the gear to his hand. He tilted their bodies so he could put the case down and show her the contents.

Rey picked up the straps and he explained that the harness went around her hips, and part of the double headed phallus went inside her, and she would penetrate him from behind. He had intended to deliver this explanation in a cool and collected fashion, but with Rey stroking his cock he stammered several times and finally had to stop her before he came in her hand.

“You are doing that on purpose.”

Rey gave him a long slow kiss, “I wanted to know how serious you are, and distracting you is a good way of determining that.” She picked up the harness and he helped her get it right side up and right side out.

He scooped her up and helped her into the harness, then slicked up her side of the phallus. She moaned as he opened her with his fingers, then slid it inside of her. Once inside they had a brief fit of giggles as she had to help him to buckle it in place, his fingers almost too slick to work properly. He leaned down and kissed her just under her navel.

He looked up at the image that flashed through her mind and she gave a breathy moan. He smiled, and pushing past the plastic taste of the phallus, He began sucking on it like Rey did to him. She reached down and ran her fingers through his hair, finally giving his hair a gentle tug.

Rey chuckled at his face as he pulled off with a pop and a face, “Rubbery plastic?”

“Not the best taste.” He said, slicking up the phallus.

Rey smiled as she sat up and watched him began to slick up his opening. She sat up enough to firmly stroke his cock keeping one hand on his shoulder to help support him.

He paused, suddenly uncertain. Rey squeezed his shoulder and they nodded at each other. Rey kissed him, to reassure him that he could trust her. He moved onto his hands and knees, panting from nerves and anticipation.

Rey moved behind him, rubbing his hips and buttocks. She said, “You have to let me know if I hurt you, I never want to hurt you.”

“I will.” He breathed in in a deep breath then gasped as she put the phallus at his entrance.

Rey went nice and slow, rubbing his hips and buttocks, telling him how beautiful he was, reassuring him he could trust her. Finally her hips pressed against his buttocks. He moaned, as she leaned over her breasts pressing against his back, her hand stroking his cock. He shuddered, almost feeling overwhelmed at the sensations.

Rey felt his emotions and reached up and tousled his hair. The looming emotional overload was averted by her action. They both shared a few giggles. She began moving in and out, slowly and gently, following his verbal and nonverbal cues.

When she grabbed his cock again it only took a few strokes to send him over the edge. They slumped down onto their sides. Rey held him from behind, slipping the phallus free, stroking his side, placing some gentle kisses on his back.

“You’re not in a puddle?” Rey asked him, working on the buckles of the harness.

“I’m good.” He reached back and began moving the phallus inside her in slow thrusts.

Rey moaned and clung to his shoulders as he brought her to the edge and pushed her into a climax, finally pulling the harness free and tossing it clear. Rey snuggled against him, resting her hand over his stomach. He placed his hand over hers and they drifted off to sleep.

Republic General Tal Chan looked up as the communications officer ran in, pale and shaking, “General! The Hosnian system! It’s been destroyed!”

The next few days were a dizzying mess of mobilization and moving of assets to protect them from the First Order. It was only a few days after the destruction of the Hosnian system that he was made the leader of the Republic military forces, those that were left. His first major decision was the choice to not go to Princess Leia’s aid at Crait. There were some who did not like it, but they were loyal soldiers and obeyed.

*

General Chan frowned at the newest reports on his desk, “Leave it well enough alone, Princess. Didn’t Crait teach you anything?” He looked up when his intelligence officer Major Pel Tyr entered his makeshift office. “Major Tyr.”

“My third cousin twice removed is a royal watcher, has been for decades.”

“Oddly enough I remembered that. She has been a great source of information about Princess Leia over these last couple of years.”

Tyr put a small holo projector on top of the stack in front of Chan. “This is from a few years ago of Princess Leia and her son Prince Ben, the last known public appearance of the boy before he went away for Jedi training, supposedly.”

Chan looked at Tyr, “With you so far.”

Tyr added a picture, “This is the latest footage of Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. See the resemblance?”

Chan studied the pictures for a long time, then muttered, “Kriff.” He frowned, “There is no way she is going up against her only son.”

“The Resistance is still building its forces and my inside contact says they are as motivated as ever, the main rallying figures are the former stormtrooper and the Jedi girl, supposedly being trained by the Princess.”

Chan looked up, “Has the whole galaxy lost its sanity?” He watched the Princess and her son officiating at some charity function. He had the pose and posture of a typical bored teenager, but the Princess smiled at his back throughout the sequence, obviously a very proud mother. “Tyr, if she gave him leadership lessons?”

“He may be able to accomplish the stated aims of the First Order, possibly better than the non-human Snoke ever could. And the nightmare of him being extremely competent has kept me up a few nights.”

“You waited on this?”

“Had to get the footage from my cousin without telling her what I wanted it for.”

“Hmm.” Chan looked up, “You have a source inside the First Order?”

“Yes.”

“Tyr, what would happen if we captured Leader Ren?”

“And do what with him? The man has a legendary bad temper. He’s also a force user, a really strong one.”

“They have force suppressants, drugs and devices, and you know people who can loosen lips.”

“What are you getting at?”

“We throw the First Order into chaos by taking away their best chance at a competent leader, and we embarrass the Princess and her ragged band of thugs. We find out if they are working together, but even if it turned out otherwise, just bad blood, she does not come away from this looking good.”

“I see and understand what you are getting at, but you are forgetting how well this guy is protected, not just the First Order people, but his own band of thugs.”

“But not impossible?”

Tyr thought over the possibilities, “Let me run some logistics, I will get back to you.”

*

General Chan and Major Tyr looked over the assembled team. “I’m not going to lie, this might be a suicide mission, but if you pull this off we will capture a very valuable prize. The target is Supreme Leader Kylo Ren. He will be overseeing the subjugation of the Pymir system. Things are still chaotic so you will have ample opportunities to get in and out, I’m leaving those specifics to you, Commander Garr. The object is live capture, in good enough shape to interrogate. You will bring him back here where a special detail will take custody of the prisoner. I am not concerned about collateral damage. If live capture is not possible then bring his dead body back here.”

*

Rey sighed as her meditation was disturbed as the connection opened. She looked over and met his eyes, then turned away.

He swallowed the mouthful he had in his mouth and said, “I’m sorry for bothering you, but I don’t have any more control over this than you do.”

“Are there no tables on your ship?” she noticed the plate on his lap.

“I am sitting at a desk. But there’s no room for my plate on it.” He looked over at Rey who had to be close enough to smell his dinner as she was barely an arm’s length away. He picked up one of the small meat pies and held it out to her.

Rey hesitated, “I’m not depriving you of dinner, am I?”

He knew that was not sarcasm but the genuine concern only one who had starved on the regular had. “No, this is actually my pre-dinner snack.”

She took the pie, “Thank you, pre-dinner snack?”

He watched her wolf down the pie, then explained, “It’s an official function, fancy food, small portions.” He waved at himself, “Not compatible with being satisfied. My mother and I used to share a pre-dinner snack before such functions. My mother hungry and cranky is a sight best avoided. For future reference.”

Rey finished licking the crumbs off her fingers, “I’ll remember that.” She ducked her head, “I’m sorry I hurt you.”

Kylo sighed, “You don’t have to apologize, I tried to force your hand, push you into something you weren’t ready for.” He picked up another pie and offered it to her.

“You aren’t trying to buy my affection with food are you?” she said taking the pie.

He actually chuckled, a good look on him, “Not with First Order food! If I were trying to buy your affection with food, it would be with food I personally prepared for you.”

Rey smiled at him around the pie she was finishing. “Who taught you to cook?”

“Chewbacca.”

“So if he offers to cook?”

“Take him up on it.”

Rey smiled at him, “I’ll remember that.”

Kylo was thinking of Rey’s kind smile an hour later while some local governor droned on about how his people would be glad to serve the First Order. He looked out over the room and spotted Ushar, Ap’lek, and Kuruk close but not too close.

His head jerked up and he waved the governor to silence as he listened to what the Force was telling him. He managed to knock everyone down seconds before the explosion occurred. Kylo coughed and wheezed as gas filled the room and his vision went dark.

He woke up strapped to a transport board, the fuzziness in his head told him that there a Force negating collar on. He heard the sound of retching and despite the situation he smiled, “Good work, Sister.” He muttered softly.

One of the men came over and loomed over Kylo. “What did your thug hit Bok with?”

“He’ll be fine.” The sound of retching from the refresher tried to turn Kylo into a liar, “It’s no worse than a bad case of food poisoning.”

The man growled then punched Kylo in the face. As he blacked out, he brought up an image of Rey’s concerned face.

*

Leia had not gotten a lot of sleep over the last couple of nights. Ever since she heard of the incident at the Pymir system she had not been able to feel her son. She was really worried about Rey, the girl had actually been off her food.

“General!” D’Acy called running up to Leia, “We have a ship coming in, they say they want to talk to you personally. About Kylo Ren.”

Leia looked at the ship which screamed Stolen, then realized she and Han had been married for too long. The ramp lowered and a pair of well built, middle aged humans, a man and a woman walked out. The woman surveyed the crowd and her eyes settled on Leia, appraising her. She walked forward, noticing but not seeming to mind the blasters leveled in her direction.

“General Leia, I am Livia. I have a witness to the live capture of Kylo Ren, by what sounds like regular Republic forces.”

Leia for a second was a concerned mother, then put the mask of command back on, “I would like to speak to this witness.”

Livia pointed at the ship behind her, “The witness recuperates in there.”

Poe stepped forward, “You can’t, it has to be a trap.”

“We cannot rescue him by ourselves, and we believe him to still be alive.” Livia said.

“I will speak to this witness.” Leia said.

“I’m coming with you.” Poe said.

Leia shook her head, “Rey will come with me.”

They were shown to a cabin where a mound of blankets took up one of the bunks. A tall muscular young woman stood guard over the bundle and at a nod from Livia knelt to pull back a corner of the blankets, “Sister, his mother and the Jedi girl are here.”

An odd-looking reptilian face poked out, covered in large blue green scabs. Leia knelt and smiled at her. “Hello, I’m General Leia Organa. I understand that you witnessed the incident?”

A scaley hand reached out toward Leia, then she said, “I am Ushar, and I will tell you.”

I entered the room he designated his office to find an overflowing desk and him scribbling away in his book. I noticed an empty plate on the floor and said, “You’ll be the size of a Hutt if you keep eating like that.”

“Well then my mother will know how to do me in then. I just need a moment to finish this sketch.”

“The scavenger girl who broke your heart?”

He looked up from the book to meet my gaze, “We both screwed up.”

I expressed my feelings about that and he smiled, finished his sketch of a girl eating pie and tucked it away on his person. We gathered Ap’lek and Kuruk and attended the event, somewhere between groveling and reception. He detected the explosion seconds before it went off and threw everyone to the floor. The people who burst in after the bomb were definitely soldiers, but not First Order soldiers. They were wearing rebreathers and I realized the room was full of knockout gas. One of the soldiers noticed I was unaffected by the gas and I was stabbed multiple times and he was enraged when his knife became stuck in my prosthetic tail. Master’s book fell out of his pocket as they dragged him away. Knife Wielder came back for one more attempt to retrieve his knife and I jabbed him with a quill, which makes humans very ill, similar to food poisoning, says Master who I stuck by accident once. As I lay bleeding out I snatched up Master’s book.

Ushar produced the book and handed it to Leia. She opened it and leafed through it, skimming the poetry, glancing at the pictures of Rey. She closed it and held onto it. “And the soldiers did not have any identification on their uniforms?”

“Nothing.”

Leia gave the scaley face a gentle touch then stood. “I think I know who would be brazen enough to try something like this and unimaginative enough to go in with blank uniforms.” She turned to Livia, “What do you think the First Order will do now?”

Livia was taken aback by being asked this, “They considered us outsiders, useless thugs. They did not confide in us.”

“And were careless with their thoughts and feelings. An outside perspective can be useful, but yours might be better due to proximity.”

Cardo answered, “They would replace him as soon as they can. They balk at his leadership.”

“That’s putting it mildly.” Livia snorted softly.

Leia looked at the young woman, “And what do you think?”

Trudgen ducked her head, then lifted it, “They will replace him, but not before blaming the Resistance.”

“And why did you come here?”

“He has always had faith in you and your abilities and wisdom.”

“Did you really kill a Hutt?” Trudgen asked.

Leia sighed in exasperation, “Yes, I strangled Jabba the Hutt to death because he enslaved me, used my future husband as a wall decoration and tried to kill my brother and our friends.” She shook her head, “I think I even know where they might be keeping him. I suppose you have already decided who is coming along on the rescue operation.”

“Livia and I will go.” said Cardo. At Leia’s prompting look he introduced himself as “Nikos.”

“Then come, we have a mission to plan.”

Poe held up a hand, “So you want to break into a Republic base, to liberate Kylo Ren of all people?”

Livia frowned at Poe’s tone but found herself astounded by how calm Leia sounded. “We won’t be breaking in, we would be walking in just like any other Republic forces team. I will distract the General I believe behind this…”

“How do you know that? They didn’t have any insignia.” Finn asked.

“General Chan works to a very boring playbook. He has in fact pulled off a live capture like this before, doing the exact same thing he just did.”

Poe frowned, “But why all the sneaking? Why not just ask him for the prisoner?”

Leia paused, “Because prisoners in his custody don’t often survive that long, and his interrogation techniques are inefficient.” She straightened, “This is Livia and Nikos, they will be coming with us, Chewie, please get the Falcon prepared.”

“We do have some official craft.”

“We may need some speed in our departure.”

Nikos and Livia paused as they approached the Falcon, Leia came up next to them. “Something wrong?” She could hear the unspoken comment about the Falcon’s junky appearance.

Livia shook her head, “It is exactly as he described.”

Leia chuckled, “Wait until you see the interior.”

Wake up, touch the Force, try to grab some extra sleep, repeat. Ben Solo had a set routine even though it did not look that way. Until yesterday, when the news about his mother and her relationship to Darth Vader…

Ben kept his eyes closed, but he knew something was wrong. He had run out of the school and into the woods, he needed to be alone. He had clearly remembered settling down under a tree to try and catch some sleep. He was sure of three things, he was strapped into some kind of chair, he was in a building, and he was very seriously drugged so he couldn’t feel the Force. He opened his eyes and groaned at the pain. He spotted a man wearing the insignia of a Republic major.

“Could I get some water, please, major?” Ben said, testing his bonds, looking down at himself, “What?” he asked seeing the thickly muscled arms that bulged in the sleeve of his undertunic.

“I think we need to pick up where we left off.”

Ben looked up, confused. “Have we met?”

“Don’t play coy.”

“Wouldn’t dream of it, no water? My mouth tastes as fuzzy as my head feels.”

Tyr looked carefully at the restrained man, “Name! Rank!” he barked.

Ben gave the Major an incredulous look, then answered, “Ben Solo, Jedi apprentice, are you okay? You suddenly don’t look so well.”

“Are you using the Force?”

“Just my eyes. I feel awful meaning I’ve been drugged, which makes logical sense. No water?”

“How old are you?”

Ben was about to answer, then he felt someone touch his face, small hands, and although he did not know for sure, he suspected it was the girl from his dreams. He leaned into the touch, then looking at the Major critically, “I want to talk to my mother, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. Or my father, Han Solo, or my uncle, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker. I will say no more.”

Major Tyr looked at the techs, “I must talk to the General, I will return shortly.”

Leia laid out the plan. “We will enter the facility together, Commander Poe and I will go talk to General Chan. Chewie, I need you to stay with the ship, we may need to leave in a hurry. The rest of you need to track down our subject. Expect a frosty reception, we are arriving unexpected and uninvited.”

Major Tyr entered General Chan’s office, “There’s been a complication.”

Before Tyr could explain the door opened and Leia entered, ignoring the protesting assistant, “No, see? I showed myself in. General Chan, it’s been far too long.” She said smiling broadly.

“It’s really not a good time, Princess Leia.”

“No time like the present, or so my late husband liked to say.” Leia slid into the guest chair and slouched into it, “Oh where are my manners, have you met Commander Poe Dameron? Best pilot in the Resistance.”

General Chan sighed, “I’m in the middle of something…”

“How goes the interrogation of Kylo Ren?” she dragged a crate across the office with a theatrical wave of her hand and propped her feet up on it. “Sorry, still recovering from being spaced.”

“Like I stated, Princess, the Major and I have…”

“Would you like me to have a go at him? I know a few special techniques that you as a non-Force user might not have access to.”

Livia and Nikos had kept to themselves on the journey but now they led the way, having chosen a search pattern once they knew the base layout. Finn fumed, as he and Rey followed the pair though the base.

“Rey, you never said who they are.”

“No, I didn’t. Wait.” Rey said, then, “In here!”

They found themselves in a property room. Rey walked directly to a bench where the cross guard lightsaber lay in an open box. “Well, we found something he held.” She hefted the lightsaber.

Finn could take it no more, “Rey, I know we are here for Ren but who are these people?”

Livia scowled, “We are people with soft voices, unlike you, voice like an alarm klaxon.” She said riffling through a few nearby boxes.

Rey closed her eyes and held his lightsaber in her hands. “This way.”

They walked down the hallway, Finn muttering darkly until hushed by Nikos. The sound of muffled shouting could be heard. The older man smiled, “Oh I know that sound.”

Livia nodded in agreement. Rey could hear a long string of angry Wookie curses, punctuated by normal shouting. They moved in the direction of the shouting.

“Where is Major Tyr? He should be back by now.” Asked one of the techs.

“IF YOU DON’T LET ME GO THERE WILL BE REPERCUSSIONS!”

“Are you sure we can’t sedate him and pretend he fainted?” The tech asked wearily.

“LET ME GO!”

“Shut up!” a second tech snapped.

“You will regret doing whatever you are doing to me when my mother gets a hold of you.” He threatened, then launched into a series of Wookie cries of distress and when the guards got close, Wookie threats.

The door opened and Nikos entered, Rey at his side the other two behind them. “Yes, I have orders from the General to bring the prisoner to him.” Nikos said with authority.

“Bad idea, ‘his highness’ here is fractious and not safe to move while awake.”

“My mother will hear about your disrespect!”

Rey stepped forward and said, “I have a codeword that ensures compliance.”

The tech nodded to the guards. They cautiously raised their weapons and Rey stepped forward and said very clearly, “I know.

The fight clearly went out of him and one of the guards released him. Once the party was outside and the tech and guards inside Nikos slammed the door shut and shoved a wrench through the opening mechanism then turned and asked, “You have no idea who any of us are.”

Rey looked at Ben, who seemed relieved, “Not a clue, but she has the code word and that’s enough for me.” He leaned against the wall, looking at Rey, “I don’t know you, but I do in a way.” He said to her.

Nikos looked slightly hurt, “Let’s get you out of here, sort out the mess later.” He slid under Ben’s arm and helped him stagger down the hallway.

“This is starting to sound like one of my father’s half assed plans.”

The alarm klaxon went on and drowned out Finn’s comment and they picked up the pace.

“Kriff.” Rey muttered as she saw the soldiers at the bottom of the Falcon’ ramp.

“We could go in through the top.” Ben suggested.

“You can barely walk, let alone jump that far.” Nikos said. There was a thump from behind them. “I think Livia has an idea.”

She popped into their hidey hole with a jacket, “You remember any drinking songs?”

Rey helped Ben on with the jacket, as he said, “All of them unfortunately.”

The motley crew walked right past the soldiers, each singing a different song, loudly and slurred.

Once inside they moved him to the main cabin and helped him sit. He leaned over and rested his head on his hands. Rey brought him a cup of water, but he did not drink it immediately. Rey nudged it firmer and he lifted his head, looked at her, “Are we married?”

“No, but we care about each other.”

“Oh, we care about each other.” There was no sarcasm or venom in the words, he instead said them to mull them over. “Those standing better brace themselves.” The Falcon launched and Finn fell over. “I told you so.”

“I think we found the teacher of that particular take off.” Livia said, hanging on to one handhold.

“I think you’re right, Sister.” Nikos dangled from his chosen handhold.

Leia entered the cabin and Ben lifted his head, “Mom.”

“Ben.”

He nodded, almost falling over only saved by Rey, “I’ve got a lot of drugs onboard, and can’t quite touch the Force. I’ve been tortured and interrogated and I got a bit shouty earlier.” He pointed at Rey, “She says we’re not married, does that mean I can marry her?”

“He doesn’t remember any of us.” Said Nikos.

Chewbacca had entered to hear that last part and see Leia shake her head. “Let’s figure out what damage has been done before we rush headlong into something new.”

“Why you smiling?” Finn demanded of Ben.

Ben raised the cup of water, “That wasn’t a ‘no’.” he said sending Rey a roguish smirk. Leia cleared her throat and sat across him reaching out for his hands which he took, squeezing her hands. Rey realized that she was seeing possibly the real Ben Solo, the charming rogue prince.

They finally ascertained that he remembered nothing after the scandal that revealed Anakin Skywalker’s past as Darth Vader. He still felt like he knew Rey, that he did remember she was in his dreams.

Poe swore out loud. He ranted, “Oh kriff! You want to know what you were? A monster! A monster working for monsters, with his own little cadre of monsters, a man so monstrous he murdered his own father!”

“ENOUGH!” Leia bellowed.

Ben looked as if he had been shot. He panted and breathed, then grabbed the cup of water out of Rey’s hand, gargled and swallowed a couple of times, then turned to Chewbacca and asked, in Shyriiwook, “Why didn’t you kill me?”

“I couldn’t, I just couldn’t.” Chewbacca answered mournfully.

“So you stood there and did nothing?”

“No, I did shoot you.” Chewbacca said indicating Ben’s side.

Ben lifted his shirt and his eyes widened at the huge scar that covered most of his side. “Did I lose an internal organ?” he asked in Basic.

“Only a couple feet of intestine, liquid diet for a month you were the crabbiest human being ever.” Livia said. “Whether your crabbiness was due to your recovery or the fact your heart was broken, we were never quite clear.”

Ben ran his hand over the scar, then dropped his shirt. He stood and walked over to Chewbacca and looked up at the Wookie. He stared into his eyes for a few moments, dropped his gaze. Chewbacca made a wordless keening noise and pulled Ben into his embrace. He began rocking Ben when Ben started crying. Chewbacca held him like he had when Ben was a child.

Leia sat next to them and reached over and stroked her son’s head. Between the comfort of his loved ones and the drugs he had been given he fell asleep.

Leia leaned in and gave the top of his head a soft kiss then got up and indicated the others should follow her.

Once in a cargo area on the opposite end of the ship she fixed Poe with a glare, “I will not tolerate you calling him a monster. I hear it again I will react like the outraged mother I am.”

“What drugs did they give him, oh the list.” Livia said as Leia handed her a list. “That is wow, oh that one, okay, that one I don’t know, Brother?”

“And that one is going to mess up his digestion.” He sighed, “Not that his aggravated system needs the help.”

Leia gave an affirmative snort. “Rey, I think we need to know more about the connection you and Ben have.” She opened his book to a picture of Rey with her arm in a sling.

“This too.” Livia held out a locket on a chain. “I pinched it from the property room.”

Leia took it, opened it and held it out for Rey to see. “An Alderaani love token.” The locket had a picture of Rey’s face on one side and a lock of hair on the other side.

Rey was studying the picture of herself in the sling. She explained their connection through the force, from Ahch-To to the last one a few days ago.

Leia held Rey’s hands. “We have to wait and see what happens when the drugs leave his system. His memory may or may not return, he may have bits and pieces.” She included Livia and Nikos in her gaze.

“There’s no blood filters on board? We could attach it while he sleeps.” Nikos asked.

“Like that worked so well last time?” Livia said.

“It was worth a shot, our mistake was thinking his drugged sleep was deeper than his normal sleep.”

Leia smiled, “Never tempt a light sleeper like him, why do you think we moved to the opposite end of the ship?” Leia smiled, “I am going to need your help too.”

“Ours?”

“Thiers?” Poe said.

“Yes.” Said Leia. “Poe you were there when Chan accused me of being too soft to effectively run a fighting force.”

“We all know differently.” Poe said.

Leia nodded then continued, “But I could use a more ruthless point of view. Final decisions will have to wait, but as soon as we land we’ll have him checked out.”

Both Livia and Nikos snorted, Livia said, “Let the games begin.”

“I can walk!” Ben protested.

“You fell over when you stood up.” Chewbacca said to the young man slung over his shoulder.

“If I can lean on someone for a while I’ll be fine.”

“Your friend’s faces speak the lie, Cub. And your mother wants you seen as soon as possible, so I will carry you.”

Ben only sighed and let himself slump over Chewbacca’s shoulder, clutching a handful of fur for security.

Leia stuck by Ben’s side, refusing to leave. People buzzed in and out, bringing her work and messages. Finally Ben stopped one of them, “Can you give us a moment? Thank you.” Connix nodded and stepped away. Ben turned to his mother. “Mom, go, do your work.”

Leia looked stricken, “Are you throwing me out?”

“No, I am throwing your work out. Mom, I will not be hurt if you go do your work, then come see me.”

Leia reached out and cupped the back of his head, “Ben, prioritizing my work over you is a mistake I refuse to make again.”

He sighed and pulled her forehead to touch his, “Mom, the damage is done, it can only be mitigated and you will have to let me go at some point, I’m a grown man, just with terrible amnesia. I will be fine if you go and do what you have to.”

Leia pulled back and looked at him, “I am so proud of how cunning you have become. You can’t con the doctor into releasing you to go on a run with me here. I’m smothering you.”

Ben leaned over and kissed her on her cheek. “With love and caring, but yes.”

Ben looked up at the woman who entered the medical unit with a deep tray in her hands. “Hello.” He caught the woman’s sorrow like an almost palpable thing, “I’m sorry I don’t remember you, but you must be…”

“Nella, call me Nella.” Trudgen shifted her tray and fought with her tears, Ben letting her have the space to do so. “I am hoping that your talent for selecting gullet stones is body memory.”

“Actually I learned as a very young boy from Chewie, but bring them over here and I will do my best to help.”

Nella pulled a stone from her pocket, “Ushar says this is the right size, but they are wrong. She spared me her rant about the inferiority of artificial gullet stones.”

They sat and sorted the stones, finding several good ones. Nella occasionally swiped at tears.

Rey found them there and watched. Ben explained what to look for in gullet stones. When they had selected some Nella made him hold them.

“Why am I holding them?”

“To reduce rejection, if your scent is on them she might accept them.” Nella ducked her head, “I’m not the only one having a hard time. Let me throw the unselected, do you have to?” Nella asked. Rey shook her head at the floating stones.

“Apparently.” Ben said as he manipulated the rejected stones in more and more complex patterns, but he did free up a hand to clasp hers before she left the room.

“I’d like your help in Rey’s training.”

“Mom, I barely know what I’m doing.”

“Good, she’ll be completely confused by the time we’re done.”

Ben only shook his head and shrugged into the jacket. “I’m going for a run with her.”

General Chan and Major Tyr strode down the ramp of the transport ship. Chan was appalled by the ramshackle appearance of the Resistance base as he followed their escort toward Princess Leia’ office. To his horror her office turned out to literally be a nook in the cave wall. He recognized the blonde woman with her from security footage during the raid. Leia smiled and stood up, “General Chan, welcome to Ajan Kloss.”

“Are you aware of her significant criminal record?” he indicated Livia.

“Livia has shared a good majority of it with me. To be honest there are some here with bigger bounties on their heads and with longer records.” She held out a data pad, “These are some things Ben has recalled since we sent the main report to you.” She sat back down, “Although I don’t know why you wanted to come talk to us in person.”

Major Tyr reached out and took it from her, skimming the report.

“I have both questions and concerns about the ‘debriefing’ of Kylo Ren.” General Chan said, “We have some questions we’d like to ask him.”

“Livia?” Leia asked.

“Unless they took a detour, they should be back from their run shortly.”

“Run? Detour?” Chan asked incredulously.

“They are young people in superior physical condition. They also love each other and go for training runs deep in the forest. Alone. In the forest.” She leaned across her desk, “I’m old, not dead.”

General Chan huffed and a deep voice said from behind them, “It’s disrespectful to huff or sigh at the head of the Royal House of Alderaan.”

Chan frowned at the young man with flowers braided into his hair. Leia quirked her lips at the braids under the flowers. “Ben, General Chan and Major Tyr have some additional questions.”

Ben sat down and the questions began. They were fairly random questions, some minutia that he never cared to find out, some was information he would have never known.

“It’s been weeks!” Major Tyr protested.

“And I’m lucky to have working memory of any quality! Mother was under the impression that you had professionals at your disposal.” He leaned back in his seat, “Despite her usual accuracy, she was in error on that point.” He glanced at Leia and mouthed, “Sorry Mom.”

General Chan swore softly, “So you have recalled nothing more that these vague tidbits?”

Livia gave a snort of derision, “Face facts General, you sought to use Kylo against the First Order, but killed him instead.”

“He lives…” General Chan was thrown back against his chair.

Livia strode from behind Leia’s desk, “I was a knight of Ren before he joined. Me and Nikos have a unique perspective, we knew both Ben Solo and Kylo Ren, the man who stands before you is Ben solo. In trying to steal his memories, you, General Chan and you, Major Tyr murdered Kylo Ren. Congratulations.”

“Three million, six hundred forty-two thousand, and ninety-four credits of bounty could be yours if your pride would let you collect.” Ben said, making Leia roll her eyes.

Leia leaned forward, “What we need to do is enhance the deep divisions that already exist in the First Order.”

General Chan looked at Ben, “And what role do you plan to play in this?”

“Don’t look at me, I’m training Rey in the ways of the Jedi, You!” he pointed at Livia, “Not a word.”

Livia walked past Ben on the way out of the office nook, “Little Brother, the flowers give it away.”

“General Chan,” Leia said, “I hope we can count on your support.”

Chan sighed, with a glance at Tyr turned back to Leia. “You have my support, General Organa.”

Leia sat in her room, leafing through the ancient Jedi text, wondering about what she should do about what she had witnessed. She recalled how they had looked at each other and worried that Ben was leading Rey into something she was not ready for. That could be anything from inconvenient to disastrous, even though all she had seen was a young couple holding hands and talking. She resumed leafing through the text, this being the only one to mention anything like what she had witnessed between them.

“She looks at him the way I used to look at Padme.”

Leia jumped then took a few seconds to scowl at the force ghost of Anakin Skywalker. She bit off the tirade that leapt to her mouth. She settled for, “Then perhaps you can tell me where in this book it discusses what’s happening between Rey and Ben?”

“Bad news, it’s not in this edition of the book, right book, too early edition. Were you about to yell at me for not knocking?”

“Sorry, yes.”

“It’s called a Force dyad, one soul in two bodies. Hasn’t happened for generations. The bonds between a master and their apprentice are a mere shadow of a true dyad.”

“So you’ve read about this? In your copious free time?”

“You and I both know that war is long stretches of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror.”

Leia nodded at his wisdom, “Anything else?”

“Rarely happens to strictly light side Jedi or Sith lords, but more often to those who strive to serve the balance of the force, or to grey Jedi.”

“There are grey Jedi?” Leia glanced at the book. “Kriff.”

“Leia.” She dragged her eyes back to Anakin’s, “A grey Jedi embraces both the light and dark sides, they strive for balance and that’s not something the Old Republic era Jedi were interested in dealing with.”

“So should I encourage this?”

“They don’t have any control over this connection. It happens when it happens. Do yourself a favor, don’t barge in on them like Luke did.”

Leia looked at him, “He didn’t?”

“Barged right in, shouted at them, destroyed a hut,” he paused, “Pissed off Rey.”

Leia sighed, smiled, and said, “I will keep that in mind.” She gave a sigh, “Did you really love my mother?”

“I still love your mother.” He said before fading away.

Leia breathed in the fresh air of the woods that surrounded the base. It was still early and it was quiet. She did perk up when she heard laughter in the distance. She was curious as to who was up and about this early. Making sure to conceal herself she crept up to the edge of the clearing where the laughter was coming from, she did not want to disturb anyone’s happiness.

Rey was being tickled, shrieking and giggling, finally waving her tormenter to a halt. To Leia’s surprise it was Ben and he was flushed and smiling, he let her catch her breath, then dove after her again. Rey easily twisted, knocking them both to the ground out of Leia’s sight.

The ferns rustled, small woodland creatures scattered as the couple rolled around, then were still. The ferns were frustratingly high so Leia could not see. She did hear some giggles and judging by the occasional rustle Leia had a pretty good idea what they were doing. She sighed and began sneaking away.

Leia was nearing the base but still a distance away when a voice made her pause. “Do you know what they are doing?”

Leia looked at the force ghost of her brother, “I have a pretty good idea, that’s why I let them be.”

“Leia…”

She turned and faced him, “All a fire needs is a spark. Whether that is the fire of a rebellion against tyranny or the spark of love in a young man’s heart. Love will lead him out of darkness.”

“Or Rey deeper into it.”

“Doubtful, as strong willed as she is.” Leia caught the stricken look on Luke’s face, “I will talk to her.”

Rey found Leia later that day on a ridge overlooking the base. “You wanted to see me General?”

Leia looked up and patted the log next to her, “Have a seat.” She had a nice generic lecture about forming relationships in times of crisis, about how they sometimes were not the most lasting of bonds, how it was best to move forward slowly. When “Are you having sex with my son?” came out of her mouth she surprised even herself.

Rey gave a little gasp, then said, “I don’t know what you are talking about.” Rey sighed and decided truth was the better choice. “We have this link, through the force. Snoke claimed to have bridged our minds but neither one of us really believe that. We are not having sex, at first he barely let me touch him but he is gradually letting me touch him, hold him, and yes sometimes kiss him.”

“Rey, he murdered a First Order general the day before yesterday in cold blood. He walked into the conference room and struck him down.”

“General Gedeon was a pedophile. He was using his position overseeing the stormtrooper creche to abuse young boys. Ben was told by other generals that a young boy was found in his quarters in bad shape. Ben admits that he perhaps was overzealous, but he has a low tolerance for such creatures.”

Leia could not argue against this and sighed, “I just worry about you.”

Rey sighed, “I can take care of myself, I have for a long time. He seems to find this ‘adorable.’ I told him he was full of sand and he laughed.”

Leia reflected that she had not heard her son laugh in years, so today was, in her mind, a gift. She shook her head, “Has he shared his vision of the future with you?”

Rey studied her hands, “He wants me at his side, that hasn’t changed. He’s more and more willing to consider either him and me leaving for the unknown regions together, never to be heard from again or him defecting and joining me here. He’s worried that you still hate him…”

“I’ve never hated him. He’s my son, I’ve never hated him. If there was a failure, that failure was mine, not his.” Leia was quick to say. She paused fighting tears, taking a moment to steady her voice, “I at least want to talk to him face to face, before either of those options are chosen.”

Rey nodded and was quiet for a moment. “And he would like you to know that you are not as sneaky as you think you are. He sensed your presence this morning in the glade.”

Leia sighed, “Kriff.”

Leia decide to not worry about them, Rey knew herself and apparently Ben was a part of that. Leia kept an eye on her son through intelligence, some of which was highly biased and she began to get the feeling their First Order spy maybe hated the Supreme Leader.

She was working on some plans when someone hauled in a case that had been left behind by Padme Amidala decades ago. Leia accepted the gift gracefully and promptly put it out of her mind.

The rain was depressing everyone and her eyes fell to the case. She cleared off her desk, her planning work had hit a standstill and she needed a break. She hefted the case to her desk and opened it.

It was a mixture of men and women’s clothing, packed in what looked like a hurried fashion. As she rifled through the clothes she found an old data pad. She plugged it in to charge while she sifted through the clothes. She picked it up again and found it contained a later edition of the Jedi text she had consulted a few days ago. She smiled and sat to look up the information on the Force dyad.

Leia was taking her morning stroll when she heard Rey speaking. She peered carefully through a gap in the trees.

Rey was talking to Ben, she was sitting on his lap, touching his face, and her other arm around his shoulders. One of his arms was holding her on his lap, the other at her waist, his eyes focused on her face, listening to her words, looking into her eyes, his eyes showing something Leia had thought was lost to him, love. She decided that they would be okay with the Force guiding them.
