As a cannibalism prompter and seconded, I can tell you at least one of us had that kink LONG before Hannibal started running. I'm actually not a fan of the series, since I had a hard time finding sources to watch the episodes from when it was new (no tv or desktop), and found the blatant food porn sort of off-putting, anyway (the kink is entirely unrelated to my own incredibly picky eating habits).

But obviously I can't speak for everyone, and there's bound to be folks who DID come from there.
