"Misfires" are comments that are accidently made either on the wrong post (i.e. prompt made in the fills/discussion post), or more commonly, reply comments that accidently end up as their own thread by hitting “post a new comment” instead of “reply to this”.
It is a reasonably common practice on kinkmemes to treat these misfires as genuine prompts and write fills for them. This partially for humour purposes and partially as a fun/challenging creative exercise.
As someone who has had to anon-ask about acronyms on kinkmemes, more than once, I can assure you there are no silly questions.
