It's not a Star Wars specific thing, but I hate fics that frequently refer to characters as the younger/older man, the dark haired man, the blue-eyed man, the former pilot/stormtrooper/scavenger, etc.

Unless you're introducing a character for the first time or writing from the POV of a character who does not know someone's name and needs to use an epithet, it makes me so irritated. More often than not, over-usage will make me stop reading the fic out of sheer annoyance.
