I don't know, I'm not the one writing fics like that, but there are plenty of fics that do that type of thing and tag the pairing. it was just an example. It could have just as well been "on a date" or "is sleeping with".

It's was more just a question of, do people need to tag every pairing, no matter how minor, if it's only one line talking about them?
