The king is willing to provide weapons and armies to the Resistance and is asking for very little in exchange.
After the delegation leaves, Poe turns up missing. According to their custom – the king can choose a spouse by abduction and took Poe. With the Republic decimated, Leia can't afford to cross their new allies but refuses to let the monarch get away with kidnapping.
