Kylo and Poe team up to break up Rey and Finn. Like every fake dating AU or romantic comedy ever, Kylo and Poe end up with each other instead. (Feel free to change the ship they're trying to break up.)

If you want to shuffle the characters, I think it could be interesting to see Hux/Finn trying to break up Kylo/Rey, Phasma/Rey, or Kylo/Phasma too.

Kylo/Finn works too. I just want a hero-villain team-up premised on an old soap opera trope.

Snoke was responsible in raising and molding both commanders of the Finalizer. People only know of Kylo Ren's story.

Snoke found a young boy disregarded by the remnants of the Empire. Abandoned by his true mother. Ignored by father and his wife. Not weak-willed as his father thought but bright, cunning, determined and already separated by his peers.

Easy pickings.

Snoke hardly needed to do anything to ensure he succeeded in the Academy. He just needed to bend Armitage's path towards him, whispering all the encouragement, coaching and persuasion until he got to the Finalizer. He just helped Armitage to learn the things that the Academy would never teach him.

++ Hux doesn't need to be Force sensitive to communicate with Snoke. Perhaps Snoke utilized his powers to create a solid or corporeal form that only Hux can hear and see.
++ Or if Hux is sensitive Snoke blankets it to prevent Hux from discovering/using it and others from detecting it.

What it says on the tin. Kylo Ren infiltrates the Resistance base as Matt the Radar Technician. Leia and Matt become close, and Leia views him as a second chance at doing right as a mother figure. Everybody knows/figures it out before Leia.

Oh, wow. As much as I would have loved to see this story go on and on (and on!), I honestly feel this is positively the best possible ending anyone could have come up with. :D

Well, happy endings are not necessarily my thing, but it was so damn gratifying to see Poe was able to rescue himself after years of rape and abuse (btw - thanks for that, darkfic is my favorite kind of darkpilot) rather than get rescued by some future love interest. I can't even describe how delighted I was to see him fight back after everything Kylo has put him through; Poe gets reduced to a 'damsel in distress' role way too often in whump!fics and it was absolutely wonderful to see his spirit and his strength of character acknowledged in this particular trope. Thank you SO MUCH for that.

Also, I'm really glad you decided to write a sequel for this story (even if it is a step further from my favorite dark OTP) and I am very much looking forward to reading it. I'm pretty sure it will be just as amazing as this fic was. ;)

AU

Poe is never captured, Finn doesn't have the opportunity to leave the Dark Side. Finn isn't brainwashed or executed (maybe Kylo or Phasma interfered in his favor?), and he is given non-lethal duties instead. Eventually, he becomes a courier. But his old betrayal is not forgotten - his superior hates him and keeps giving him deadly dangerous missions - which Finn flawlessly completes every time. Finally, he's sent on a literal suicide run: he has to walk into Leia's rebel base and try to negotiate.

Finn is captured on arrival. Then he meets Poe. What happens next is up to you.

Rey is absolutely committed to fighting on the side of the Light, but the thing is, she kind of misses Jakku and the cutthroat scumbags she grew up among. Lando arrives like a breath of fresh air and they immediately bond - they know the same dirty tricks, they have the same survival instincts... and they're incredibly attracted to each other.

The senator's sensitive son and the ex-Stormtrooper who openly lied to Leia to get his friend back.

Hux marries Kylo. His father demands he adhere to the tradition of Arkanis which involves having a family member witness the first bedding to confirm everything is as it should be.

+ Brendol is really critical of Armitage's technique.
++ Brendol strokes Kylo's hair and talks dirty to him as he gets fucked.
+++ He keeps referring to Kylo as Armitage's wife and maybe even talk about getting him pregnant, carrying on the Hux line, etc.

Emperor Hux likes to publicly grope, fondle and fuck his pet Kylo. So maybe he's be sitting on his throne holding court and will have Kylo naked over his lap. He'll fondle his ass, play with his hole or fuck him with a dildo all the while concentrating on what the person in front of him is saying. Or he could hold meetings where his advisors are sitting around the table discussing plans and strategies and he's balls deep in Kylo who is bent over the table trying his best not to moan like a whore.
