they need to go undercover on a planet going through something of a 1920s renaissance. [reason?? they need to make sure a new first order benefactor really does support them?? they need to take vengeance??? they need to rob? who knows!]

just give me them hanging out in speakeasies, finding the clothing charmingly old world, basically treating the whole mission as a holiday. they spend half of it sleeping off roaring 20s hangovers and the other half screwing. hux thinks he's found the aesthetic he wants whe he's emperor and learns new levels of scheming from a choir girl con artist. kylo can't handle his drinks.

If Kylo Ren won't control himself like an adult, Hux won't treat him like one. Hux teasingly threatens Ren with time outs and offers to put him down for naps and the like. Ren is stunned at first so Hux thinks its working…

Until Ren starts calling him 'daddy' and thanks to Ren's newly discovered kink the whole thing backfires spectacularly.

Everyone in the Resistance is horrified to hear the details of Finn's life growing up as a Stormtrooper, but Finn isn't really traumatised by it- it was just normal, to him. In turn, Finn is morbidly fascinated by everyone else's stories of childhood, and he finds certain aspects of daily life in the Resistance similarly distressing.

Poe's secondary gender fails to present until a very late time in his adolescence but nobody seems overly concerned about this because everyone just assumes he will present as an omega. All the signs are there: he is short and pretty, kind-natured, charming, loyal – and if nothing else those childbearing hips of his are a dead giveaway. In fact Dameron family has been receiving offers of bonding and marriage proposals from influential alphas for years because promising, young omegas like Poe are considered a rare prize anywhere in the world. So, naturally, when Poe finally presents as an actual alpha the news becomes a fad of galactic proportions.

…And Ben Solo goes completely berserk.

The thing is, ever since Ben presented as an alpha at a very early age he was desperately hoping that his best (and only) friend's secondary gender would turn out compatible to his own so they could form a full, life-long bond (and even Poe himself didn't seem too averse to the idea) - he always felt certain that he could never love anyone the way he loved Poe. But now all his hopes have been shattered and, unfortunately for everyone, this was exactly the push Ben needed to finally fall under the influence of Supreme Leader Snoke and cross over to the dark side…

Bonus:
- relationships between alphas are unheard of because their natural instincts to claim an omega mate usually override all other desires, but they're not actually impossible
- when Ben/Kylo Ren captures Poe on Jakku they are both still unattached

BB-8 really wants its human to be happy and in love, and who better than Finn? Finn was all Poe would talk about when he came back from Jakku, and after Finn woke up from his coma, Poe hardly left his side when he wasn't on a mission. Now, the two are inseparable, sharing a jacket and a room.

Unfortunately, Finn seems resistant to all of BB-8's machinations, which include tripping Finn into Poe's arms, dumping a bucket of cold water over Finn's head so that Poe can warm him up somehow, leaving sappy romantic holovids in Finn's bunk to give him ideas, etc.

Turns out Poe and Finn are already together.

+They both catch on but don't say anything because BB-8's matchmaking attempts are amusing
++BB-8 starts leaving holoporn, which they put to good use
+++Rey somehow finds out about this
