This is great Anon, so glad you decided to try your hands at writing!

Re: mini fill -- Bitter Fantasy -- Kylo/Hux (TW: past & present non-con, abuse)

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
You're welcome, OP! I'm glad you liked it. I was worried about the sparse details and tried to leave some things to the reader's imagination.

Also, I didn't specify whether this was their first sexual encounter or not on purpose. I cannot believe that Kylo would attempt a rape fantasy with someone he wasn't in a relationship with, let alone attempt it without discussing it with the person first. Just no. Bad. Wrong.

Part of me wants to write a follow-up, to prove that Kylo didn't break Hux, but most of me honestly can't. I knew it'd be difficult to write, but... I don't know. I liked the "dangers of mind-reading" part.

Thank you. I'm not exactly sure yet if I'm proud of this one. I'm very thankful this community is anon, though.

Rey/Finn/Poe...they get to be loud

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
I just imagine that Rey, Finn, and Poe are used to having to be quiet (the walls on base are not that thick and there are some things you should just not share with your friends). I'd like a moment where maybe they all are not surrounded by the resistance/mentors/etc they take the chance to enjoy each other and get loud.

OP: look after yourself first, anon! I'm very grateful that you tried your hand at this and it was truly perfect. So painful but also very real and cathartic. Please don't feel bad, you were beyond kind to us readers and the boys xx

gen or mitaka/hux, hux trips major balls

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
While the Finalizer stops planetside for a repair and resupply, Hux goes down with a small group for the usual political rigamarole. He and Mitaka split from the group (maybe to go to a prearranged, more private meeting? idk) and get attacked by would be assassins. It's not Resistance - they aren't known for using poison darts or what have you, and everything seems mostly okay. At first. As it turns out, the poison they used doesn't actually kill humans, it just makes them (unpleasantly) trip the fuck out. So now Mitaka has to steer his massively uncooperative beanpole of a General away from danger, try to get a hold of the rest of the group, and fight off/hide from their attackers.

feel free to change around details and what have you. I'm just here for smol Mitaka desperately dragging Hux's giant ass around and being surprisingly resourceful in the galaxy's most terrifying game of hide and seek.

bonus points for

- Mitaka having a long standing crush on Hux (whether they hook up or not in the end up to you, a!a)
- Hux has been painfully oblivious to this
- a bizarre moment of drugged emotional vulnerability which is genuinely touching to Mitaka
- Hux not remembering ANY of Mitaka's heroics, only hazily recalling when Phasma or Kylo Ren or whoever swoop in to rescue them in the end.
- Mitaka's life is Suffering

Rey, Stormpilot, angst, kidfic, modern au

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:08 am (UTC)(link)
Rey had a baby while really young and struggling to get by, so she gave the baby up for adoption. It was the hardest thing she ever had to do and it still haunts her, but she wanted her kid to have a good life, even if that life didn't included her.

Some years later she comes across a lovely couple, Finn and Poe, whom she becomes best friends with. Eventually she meets their adopted kid and becomes a big sister/cool aunt figure to them. Then she starts noticing that Finn and Poe's child kinda looks like her. And has a lot in common with her. And is exactly the same age as the baby she gave up...

Cue Rey panicking and not know what to do. Tell Finn and Poe? Not tell? Will she accidentally give the kid emotional problems? Will they think she faked being their friend to get close to her child? Are there gonna be custody issues? Should she leave and not be involved? Stay and let the child know she loves them?

Up to the filler how this goes.

HNGGGGGG that was incredibly sexy. I love that they're cuddly and Ren is cling after.

Finn/Poe - Finn keeps rescuing Poe

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
After TFA, Poe keeps finding himself in situations where he gets kidnapped- whether it's for political reasons, strategic play, or just plain because they want him. Finn (on his own or with Rey's help) breaks in to rescue him each time.

After the 4th or 5th time, Finn is starting to enjoy his new job of rescuing Poe. Poe can be either longsuffering/disgruntled or also enjoying his 'knight in shining armour' rescues

+1 - if there's a certain Hutt reenactment at one point...

Kylux, DarkPilot - arranged marriage

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:21 am (UTC)(link)
I guess shamelessly borrowed from all the other arranged marriage prompt. Anyway:

Ben Organa Solo; conflicted, isolated and volatile although beyond all that he always fight a good fight to do good.

Brendol Hux II; arrogant, (over)zealous and in-control. He's a good soldier and knows how to play his cards righ and an heir to a fallen empire.

They would have been assholes who deserve each other, which would have been good because they're set to marry each other in a last ditch attempt to have a peace treaty.

Too bad for Poe Dameron, childhood best friend and lover of Ben Solo.

Give me a reluctant Ben crying on Poe on his wedding day. Give me angry Poe, about losing the love of his life. Give me manipulative Hux, who knows how to press all Ben's buttons.

The next time Poe sees Ben, he's wearing a mask. Now a pawn to the empire named Kylo Ren. (Can not be a murder kylo, heck he may be a politician who has very very strong views)

FILL Re: GEN or Hux/Kylo, Hux can travel back in time [Part 2/?]

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
[Cycle 19:]
“I won’t let you hurt her.” Ex-trooper FN-2187 told Hux, armed with a Resistance blaster. There was strangely little hatred in his eyes, simply determination and such a misplaced bravery it made Hux want to vomit. The girl was behind him, unconscious in the torture chair, barely breathing after the vengeful treatment he had inflicted on her. It did not matter. He had suffered too, repeatedly. Their pain was nothing because they were nothing, simply options he had met before and discarded, killed, erased from time. Yet the cards were against him this cycle. Again.
“I already did, you traitor.” He spat.
“My name,” the option said, “is Finn.”
Hux raised his blaster.
It was in this cycle he found out that the man who called himself Finn was much faster than him.

*
[Cycle 625:]
“What do you want?” Kylo asks, suddenly wary. Hux had seemed fine yesterday, displaying his usual slimy disgusting self. Here he seemed like a different man. Weary when he should be watching his pet project with excitement, commanding the latest troops and making speech, drinking with the officers and above all, mocking Kylo every chance he has. Right now, analyzing Hux’s expression behind the safety of his mask, Kylo is reminded of Skywalker. It irritates him to no end, the looks of understanding, sympathy, of pretended wisdom. Men who conceal their weakness with kindness. Their fear with pity. Their hatred, with love.
“Can you keep a secret, Ren?”
Kylo is taken aback for the second time in a minute, but decides to take the question like the insult it probably is:
“Are you accusing me of treachery? A new low.”
Hux sighs.
“No matter what I do or say you always take things the wrong way. It must be the will of the Force that you’re so stupid.”
Kylo had left the bridge to avoid lies and he had not gone to the control unit to get his daily ration of insults. He’s not above threats.
“Careful, General. Incidents can happen on a ship so big. It would be terrible if your loyal troops found you had slipped and repeatedly hit your head on the console.”
And then, the most unexpected reply, almost automatic, as if Hux had heard all this before and was simply rehearsing a play:
“Is that what happened to the men who attacked you? Did Ben Solo make them "slip"?”
Kylo freezes. Suddenly, he can’t breathe. Images, fragments of nightmares and memories flash before him. Guilt and shame shackle his thoughts, but above all he feels like he has never felt before a pure hatred for Hux – Hux, the last man who should know about his past, about Ben Solo’s failures. He raises his hand and lifts the man, barely able to control his power and avoid choking him to death before he can beg for mercy. Yet the other doesn't react, though he must be in pain, he /must be/:
“Y-you can’t - solve your problems by killing everyone, Ren.” Hux wheezes.
“You know NOTHING of my problems!”
“I do. I’ve seen them.”
Kylo releases him in shock when he senses the truth in Hux. Is the general skilled with the Force? And as if Hux could indeed read his mind, he replies:
“No, I’m not force-sensitive. I couldn’t even move a feather if I tried. But I know what you think because you told me before, in other lives. That, you idiot, is the secret you must keep.”

*

[Cycle 302:]
Hux decided to start this particular cycle in bed. He had travelled to the best week of his life: a holiday spent alone in his parents’ third house when he was twenty-two, without servants or droids, without anyone but himself and plans for the future. Perhaps here of all places he would find a solution. Begging the Supreme Leader had been useless, befriending Ren had been foolish, and attempting to kill them both had resulted in such an amount of pain and blood he had only tried it three times, a hundred cycles ago. He feared that all this meant that this particular death was to be his true death, the last fixed point he would ever encounter. Kylo’s hatred was also fixed, he was sure of it. A hatred that led to the death of Starkiller, and his own. The master of the knights of Ren was as unmanageable as he was predictable. What was to be done with him?

*
He found the solution only a hundred cycles later.
*

[Cycle 625:]
Hux explains. He explains for what feels like hours. He tells Kylo how many times he has travelled here and how many times he has nearly died at the hands of their beloved and wise leader, and how many times he witnessed the destruction of a weapon that is not even half-built yet. He tells Kylo that he lives in cycles until everything he does is perfect, until he himself is perfect, though fixed points can never be changed, and failures can never be forgotten. He tells, and tells, until he pauses to drink some water he has brought “-for the occasion. I knew you were going to strangle me.”.
Hux is insane.
And Kylo is listening to him.

*
“Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?” His old master had said once. Ben had laughed at that.
*

[Cycle 625]
“The truth is,” Hux continues, “I can’t change you. I can’t make you go back to the light. In all your lives I’ve been nothing but a fixed point in time, a black hole driving you deeper into the dark. You, Ben Solo, have to do it yourself.”
Kylo removes his helmet. He has to show Hux that Ben is dead. That beneath the mask there is nothing to find that should –can- be redeemed.
“There’s nothing to be fixed.” He says, but it sounds like a plea.
“No. Not without my help.” Hux steps closer, and Kylo doesn’t step back, though he wants to flee so badly. He’s torn apart.
“Take my hands and close your eyes. We’re going on a trip.”
Kylo’s eyes are so very bright as he looks at Hux and the possibilities offered. He grasps Hux’s hands.
“Where?”
“Your redemption.”
And for the first time in years, Kylo believes.

*
Together, they travel.
*

[The Past]
Kylo Ren was Ben again. Mask-less, dressed in beige and grey, grass stains on his shoes and shorter hair that didn’t quite hide his ears. He was in pain too, but a mild, purely physical one: from the training of his childhood, or perhaps today, as he suddenly remembered, from running through the fields with his friends till they couldn’t breathe. Tears fell from his cheeks as he looked at Hux. They were still holding hands, just as Hux had instructed years after. He too, was so terribly young, wearing a luxurious uniform, too big for him. Twin suns blazing in the afternoon made his hair look like fire, and Kylo thought it was beautiful, a single patch of orange in a field of green grass and grey flowers. An anomaly in time.
“Do you know where you are?” asked Hux.
He managed to nod, then nodded again, grasping the reality of the situation and memories he thought he had erased. More tears came.
“I used – I run here. I run when I’m happy and training is over. I’m walking with Uncle Luke. He tells me stories about my father because my father is too far away to tell them himself. I’m /home/. How - why – I hate you less, here. Now.” He swallows, and adds in a small voice:
“I don’t understand.”
Hux smiled again.
“You don’t hate me because you don’t know me yet.”

--------

Since this is my first fic: writing is hard and I hate it, but I will finish this. Somehow.

FILL: Ghost in the Machine [1/?]

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Honestly, I have no idea how long this is going to end up- it looks like it might be a bit of a long one. Here's the first part though.

When he first came aboard the Finalizer, Tarkin Hux found that the onboard computer system was… a little different than normal.

For one thing, it was alarmingly sentient, and very clearly had different users that it liked better than others. If it didn’t approve of whoever was trying to get it to work, it would lock itself down and spit out sarcastic error messages. If it liked (well, more accurately, didn’t hate) whoever was trying to use it, it would still spit out sarcastic error messages, but it would do whatever it was supposed to do eventually. And it remembered things. Not in the way that a normal computer would save information in its databanks, but more like a droid’s dynamic recollection process. But even that was not a perfect comparison- sometimes it would seem as though the computer actually forgot information, the way a sentient organic being would. But that was ridiculous. It was just a highly advanced piece of machinery, it couldn’t forget things. Hux brushed the anomalies off as some stupid minion misplacing a data stick or something, and the computer’s programmed personality being sarcastic about it.

That alone would have been enough to make the computer strange, but it also had a strange program that was extremely accurate at making predictions. Not perfect, of course, the computer couldn’t account for every possible variable that could happen in a battle, or always accurately predict human behavior, but about eighty to ninety percent of the time, the predictions from the simulations it ran were so correct it was almost spooky. Hux had asked Snoke about it once, but the Supreme Leader had just smirked and told him, “the programmers were very good at their jobs.” And that was that. The official explanation was the only explanation that made any sense. After all, what else could it be? Hux didn’t really understand much about computers, but he knew they weren’t people. And no matter how many times some of the junior officers muttered to themselves about the damn computer being haunted, that wasn’t an explanation either. Ghosts had better things to do than play around in machinery and taunt First Order officers. Even if sometimes it did seem like the computer knew too much about human anatomy to be able to come up with such creative insults.

Still, there was something about the system that unsettled Hux. And it didn’t help that sometimes, he felt like there was someone watching him from the other side of the screen. It was ridiculous, and such superstition was unbecoming of a First Order officer, but he couldn’t shake the feeling. It made him uncomfortable, and he really did prefer to leave operations of the computer to Mitaka- it seemed to like him better anyway. At least it never shut itself down or dumped the data when that skinny lieutenant tried to use it- it just insulted him and pulled random files up to the screen.

At least it never shut itself down or dumped the data when that skinny lieutenant tried to use it- it just insulted him and pulled random files up to the screen. Even though, of course, the feeling he had was probably just paranoia from hearing some of the scary stories the Stormtroopers told to freak each other out. Of course the computer wasn’t haunted by the ghost of a Stormtrooper who had died in an industrial accident while building the proton cannons, and it also wasn’t haunted by the ghost of an officer who committed suicide after her affair with a trooper was discovered. It wasn’t haunted by any kind of ghost at all! That was just stupid.

So of course, he almost had a heart attack when he woke up in the middle of the night, a young man’s pained voice calling out to nobody reverberating from a speaker embedded in his personal computer system. He'd forgotten to turn it off before he'd gone to bed. Getting out of bed, Hux walked over to switch it off.

And then his sleepy brain actually comprehended what the voice was saying.

“There’s no one… no one left… I wish I could die, I want to die, why won’t someone kill me? Please let me die.”

Well this is glorious.
"My prince"
leather gliding over lace
"Please"
Hux's spiralling relationship fantasies with a side-helping of sibling judgement

GLORIOUS.

What really hit the spot though was that last bit about how they've done this seven times now, that Ren initiates it half the time, and that he cries on Hux's shoulder afterward. He's complex! A++

Rey/Kylo Medieval Fairy Tale AU

(Anonymous) 2016-03-04 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
Rey is a huntswoman who lives alone on the edge of a very large, mysterious forest where a monster is said to live. (I'm thinking dragon, but werewolf, minotaur, just about anything non-human could work.) She's never seen it, but people disappear anytime they go into the forest. One day, she discovers a naked, unconscious Kylo right within the treeline.

Feeling pity, she takes him home and nurses him back to health. When he wakes up, he's angry, rude, and almost feral in the way he acts. But Rey doesn't put up with his shit, and eventually, he begins to warm up to her. Just when this happens, she finds out Kylo's actually the monster, cursed into human form until he can find a way to break the spell. What happens next is anyone's guess.

+If it turns out to be a sad ending where he willingly goes back to being the monster despite being in love with Rey, I'd give you my firstborn.
