Kylo has inappropriate feelings for Luke, Han or both. He's always felt this way and he's ashamed of it / was rejected at some point very harshly.
Hux finds out about it and uses it against him. Either professionally or in bed.

Maybe Kylo Ren is one of those guys who kept growing in his twenties? He could have been a little shorter if this takes place when he's 18.

I loved the direction you went with the premise and I love that you made Kylo and Poe involved in the past in some capacity. (They are my trash ship, so I'm so pleased that you chose to have Kylo involved.)

"Ren? Kylo Ren?" Hux played the beam of his flashlight over the dark stone walls, breath coming cold in the dank air of the dungeon. "Kylo? Ben? Whatever you're calling yourself now." Kylo was certainly in here, so why wasn't he--oh, right.

Hux mentally chastised himself. Snoke had made a great show out of describing Kylo's "defects" to Hux, emphasizing their permanence. "A warrior who cannot see or hear cannot serve," Snoke had said. "Are you certain you wish to claim this broken pile of bones for your reward? You could be Emperor, you know."

It was tempting. Hux tried to push thoughts of duty and servitude to the front of his mind. He'd learned that trick quickly with Snoke. "Kylo Ren has been a thorn in my side for months, Supreme Leader. I would cherish this chance to wreak my revenge above all other rewards."

That was the kind of talk Snoke had always expected from him, and it had seemed to do the trick. "He is yours," Snoke had said finally. "Come claim him."

The beam of the flashlight hit a tattered pile of rags. Ah. Hux knelt beside the sad little bundle and began to prod it. "Get up, you idiot," Hux muttered to himself. "Don't be dead. Please, dammit, please."

The poking seemed to do the trick. Kylo Ren raised his head, his milky white eyes staring blankly at Hux. "I thought it was over," he croaked. "Can't you leave me to die in peace?"

Hux's heart sank. Kylo's face was a mass of cuts and bruises, from the angry red slice that ran across his face to the purple and green marks flowering on his stark cheekbones. He couldn't help reaching out to touch that sharp, drawn face.

Kylo's hand shot out, fingers closing over Hux's wrist. His grip was still strong, if shaky. "You're not a Knight. Have you--have you come to rescue me?"

Damn it, don't make me feel bad for you, Hux thought. This is hard enough. He brought his face to Kylo's hand, brushing his cheek against it, and let Kylo's hand roam over his cheek and nose. The spidery fingers were ghostlike on his skin.

Kylo's blank eyes widened. "General. Of course it would be you."

Hux nodded.

"I know why you're here." Kylo raised his chin and set his jaw. "It ends here, in darkness and in pain. In weakness."

Hux shook his head.

"What are you trying to tell me?" Kylo cried. He flung himself against the wall, wrapping himself in his dark tatters again. "Kill me quick, General. I've been through enough torment."

Hux gritted his teeth. How did one communicate the complexity of the situation to someone who was blind, deaf, and apparently in no shape to read minds? Galactic Basic Sign was unlikely to help. He sat back on his heels and took the situation apart in his head. What was the most crucial thing to communicate? What would Kylo respond to?

The floor was hard and cold. He sat next to Kylo anyway, putting an arm around his shoulders, pulling Kylo close to him. Heat. Warmth. Solidity.

"Don't tell me Snoke threw you in here with me," Kylo murmured. "I wonder how you displeased him. I suppose I'll never knew."

Hux frowned. He ran a hand up Kylo's back, then pressed his palm against the back of Kylo's neck.

"Hux?" Kylo's voice was high and rough in ears. "What are you--"

Hux tightened his grip just a little. Gentle, firm, solid. Just enough to say mine.

Kylo sucked in a ragged breath. "He's given me to you, hasn't he?"

Hux patted the back of his neck.

"Maker. Have mercy." Kylo bowed his head. "So I'm to be your toy. I would prefer death. Did you bring a leash and collar to walk me on?"

Hux isn't sure how to correct him, but at least Kylo doesn't protest when Hux helps him up. It's a start.

HUX, KYLO, YOU TWO ARE THE WORST AND I LOVE YOU.

Seriously though I was kind of waiting for this to come up - none of that honourable 'drawing lots' nonsense here, nope, just in case anyone forgot who they were dealing with.

I hope one of them knows how to dry meat so they can make TR-4022 last them. Trooper-jerky.

For various reasons both Kylo Ren and General Hux are virgins (both focused on training, lack of suitable partners, too afraid of being blackmailed? up to filler). Anyway neither of them are willing to admit this to each other. As a result they are awkward and clueless and Snoke ends up having to give them a talk... (Please don't treat this as crack but rather a humorous fic)

Oh. Oh, yes. We need to reverse that beautifully strategic application of mortifying shame from that other fill, ASAP.

The first thing Ben does when he wakes up is try to hail the Wayfarer.

No, that’s a lie.

The first thing Ben does when he wakes up is roll over, puke his kriffing guts up and curse both his first mate’s ability to sniff out the cheapest dive in any port and Ben’s own inability to resist Finn’s relentless enthusiasm for enjoying the local (alcoholic) flavor.

Then he panics (slightly) at not recognizing the painfully austere room he’s woken up in. Ben might not be as likely as some on his crew to follow some pretty thing home after a few too many, but this isn’t the first morning he’s started hungover in an unexpected place. True, on previous occasions he’s had a bedmate and at least the vaguest impression of how he’d ended up there, but last night was the last stop at the end of a very long trading run and the expectation of finally being home had everyone overindulging.

He panics considerably more when he can’t find his clothes, and by the time he’s worked out the comm system in the corner and failed to raise the Wayfarer on either the regular channels or the emergency ones he’s settled into the numb buzz of an incipient anxiety attack. He tries his parent’s comm (static), his mother’s office (static), the Academy and then his uncle’s private comm (more static). The short list of friends and acquaintances who might help Ben Solo out of a sticky situation yields the same results (static static static static). In a fit of recklessness he even tries Rey, on the off chance that her current whatever with Finn and Poe will outweigh the years of polite distaste she’s shared with Ben, but there’s no connection there either. Then he lays his head down on the desk and spends a few minutes just trying to catch his breath.

When he feels a little less like his heart is going to bust its way out of his chest he pulls together an acceptable outfit from the clothes he finds in the closet (he approves of the black, but did he really let someone so clearly obsessed with cumbersome robes take him home?) and ventures outside. If he can’t reach his crew then he’s going to have to make his own way home, and for that he needs a ship of some sort.
