No one's freaking out. Looks like lots of us headcanon this? I mean, all the groundwork for it is in the OT - in Leia's short temper, in Han's chronic irresponsibility, etc. When TFA revealed Kylo was Han and Leia's son, I sort of went "those two? With a Han who's clearly as immature as ever? Yikes, you poor kid." Then the fact that Han was perfectly willing to blame their being "too much of Vader in him" for his turn to the Dark Side, and Leia was blaming it all on Snoke just clinched it.
And I can attest to just how shitty it is to have parents who fight all the time, and a dad who takes off whenever and messes everything up when he's around. Oh, fuck it. I'm adding this to my list of things to fill.
