Kylo is about to go full freak out and has whipped out his lightsaber, but Hux isn't having any of it because it is time for his smoke. So while Kylo is about to slash and burn the bridge, Hux just walks over, leans down and lights his smoke off the lightsaber in front of everybody. Dominance established.
