Now outside the first order, Finn has the freedom to do what he wants and learn what he wants. Turns out he's a fast learner and has a knack for everything. It draws a lot of attention to him, which makes Poe super grumpy (because he's jealous and protective). But Finn misinterprets it as Poe thinking Finn is a showoff so Finn tries to constantly undercut himself and downplay any of his skills because he hates it when Poe frowns. But really, Poe just wishes people would stop trying to tap Finn because he's trying to romance him.
