Hux worked his jaw, his head ringing from the punch he had been given. He was pushed toward the wall where all the generals were seated. General Kolker helped him sit next to her. She gave him one of her grimmer looks. “You are an impetuous hot head with a big mouth.”
“Really? You obviously haven’t spent a lot of time around Kylo Ren.”
She frowned. “It’s going to get you in real trouble someday.” She sighed, “We should discuss how we are going to discipline those who gave into these traitors.” She braced herself, “And we should do some studies on where the training program…”
“The flaw is not in the program!” Hux hissed.
“Silence!” one of the traitors ordered.
The group of traitors were arguing amongst themselves about the next step and which hostage would be the first to die while they waited for the requested items to be brought to them.
The door chimed and a tall man wearing the insignia of a major entered, holding a tray with the requested items. The head traitor stepped forward to take the tray only after the door was closed behind the Major.
The Major moved to put the tray on the table, but at the last moment swung the tray and struck the lead traitor in the gut with the tray. He spun sending an elbow into the face of one of the two behind him, swinging out a long leg to knock down the other. He somersaulted over the table and yanked a blaster from of the other traitors, using it to shoot the other traitors.
The generals had gotten to their feet and moved to take the weapons from the traitors and Hux turned to confront the Major, a man he did not recognize.
“Leader Snoke asked me to help you.” He handed the blaster to Hux. “Now if you will excuse me, I must report to my Master.” He gave a half bow to the Kolker and Hux and walked out of the room with his usual stride.
Hux was shocked and whispered to himself in shock, “Kylo Ren?”
