In the EU legends books, the Solo children had a nanny named Winter. She was there early in their lives and even caused some heartbreaking confusion for the kids when they had to go back to their parents: who is this strange woman? And this strange man? Why don't we get to stay with Winter? What if they did the same thing with Ben Solo, sent him to a nanny early on? (Also, it was Luke's idea to send them all away.)

Cue the present day when Kylo has found his way to the Resistance somehow and is a mess and it occurs to Leia she might have to hire Winter again.

+ He listens to her, even tips on being nicer to others and he thaws a little
+ Leia is glad someone can reach him but every mother-son interaction she sees makes her sad and jealous
