Rey sees how Finn and Poe look at each other. But Finn is her best friend in the world, and Poe is weirdly nice to everyone, so she makes it her mission to make sure Poe is serious about Finn and not just fooling around. Also, she needs to make sure this flirty pilot is actually someone who deserves Finn.
I just want Rey putting Poe through the wringer:
1. Endurance tests: he has to be physically strong to deserve Finn. If she spars with him, or challenges him on flying sims, or anything, I WILL BE REAL HAPPY 2. Mental tests: he also has to be smart and not insufferably boring when he talks. 3. Devotion tests: She wants to see what Poe's reaction to other attractive people offering him their affections is. 4. Surveys: She goes around the base collecting other people's opinion's on Poe and doing research into his family and background and etc.
+10000 if Finn doesn't notice that Rey is being especially prickly with Poe and thinks Poe and Rey are going to be BFFs forever. Poe is just gritting his teeth and doing what he needs to do to prove he loves Finn.
