But what happens when he is redeemed? Is he going to stop? Just stop right away something that had become a habit, a daily ritual, dare-I-say-it... a source of comfort? The whip/ the belt/ the tightening of the cilice... those were instruments of the dark side!! They harnessed his longings for the light, purified his body, focused him into an instrument of the force!.. they also calmed him and stopped him from breaking everything around him (as long as he could break himself). Let's explore that mindset!
What I'd love : - Ben Organa doesn't stop. - He tries to be discreet, he knows how it looks. - People see anyway because it's hard to be hide something like that when you are under surveillance for war crimes. - People are freaked out/concerned/disgusted/mocking - "What did you expect from snoke's lapdog? He is damaged goods I tell you" - It's not self harm, of course it's not self harm! It's obviously a question of discipline! (why can't they understand?) - Scars, old and new and ever growing.
What I do not like : - Woobie Kylo. He is not a poor baby muffin who didn't know any better. He is a choleric, out of control, self-destructive man whose ideology was all he had and just went trough a paradigm shift.
Could be Gen, could be Reylo or Poe/Kylo or Finn/kylo or whatever you like. You can pretty much do anything you want with the prompt whether it is exploring his coping habits ; his place in the resistance ; his relashionship with his mother or what he had with snoke, a reaction fic from ReyFinnPoe's point of view... Go wild!
