Hux is captured by the Resistance and prepares himself to be beaten, tortured, executed. He's suspicious when it's just so... dull. He's waiting for the chaos and screaming to start. If he had himself as prisoner he definitely wouldn't be treating himself so gently.
And then there's this pilot, who stops by in the afternoons apparently just to chat. He's... nice. In Hux's experience that means he wants something, because nobody is ever nice just for the sake of it. It's driving Hux up the wall because he can't work out what it might be.
