The two manage to get away, barely, though Kylo was still recovering and is now worse, with limited medical supplies. Suddenly strapped for credits -- his account frozen and Ren's useful if annoying sorcery out of commission -- Hux now has to make ends meet. He can repair parts, is an accounting and engineering prodigy, has many useful skills that are, as it turns out, difficult to market. So he falls back on the oldest profession.

- Ren is an awful, demanding patient, and ungrateful besides, when he isn't wallowing in self-pity.
- Hux isn't very experienced -- not a virgin, but he hasn't had many sexual relationships.
