Hux is exactly stubborn enough to try and brush off a bout of appendicitis and keep working, right up until the point it bursts halfway through a senior staff meeting. One definitely-not-a-swoon into Kylo's arms later, he's in surgery and then on mandatory bed rest.

Hux makes Kylo look like a model patient. He even made Mitaka cry. Kylo is the only one who will go near him.
