When Rey and Poe finally meet, they don't actually get along all that well. Rey thinks Poe is the kind of over-confident smartass who would, on Jakku, either gotten himself killed in days or lived long enough to use that confidence to turn into a bully, and Poe tries, but secretly, he thinks Rey is unnecessarily suspicious and difficult. They both adore Finn, though, so they try try to hide it around him. Bonus points if he totally already knows, and sneakily figures out something for them to bond over.
